Hip-Hop, Pop | Jon Waltz – Anna
Posted by admin on October 16, 2015
Jon Waltz of Memphis, TN is a young maven. With already one full-length project under his belt, he has began to prep his future release. The first offering is “Anna”, a more pop-centric song, however, Waltz’s lyrical ability does not give way for the more widely-accessible sound.
Waltz speaks in his songs on a very personal level, seemingly telling you a story with every piece of work. Listen to “Anna” below and stay tuned as there is much more to come.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Virginia Beach’s DP tells you to “Wait” no more
Posted by admin on October 16, 2015
Abrasive, gritty, and ruthless are all adjectives that can describe Virginia Beach native, DP’s newest release. After an extended hiatus, DP is back like he never left. “Wait” clocks in at just under two minutes, packed to the brim with raw rapping. What the song lacks in a chorus, it makes up with in lyricism.
Check out DP’s new Tumblr page as well which has information on his forthcoming album as well as a behind the scenes look at the music.
Alternative | Son Little bends genres on “Go Blue Blood Red”
Posted by admin on October 8, 2015
Increasingly my day is eaten up listening to orchestral production, booming vocals, and high-BPM songs. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, simply an observation of music in the present day. When an artist pops on to my radar with a total departure from the “trending” and “happening” sound, I’m instantly enticed.
Son Little takes a stab at blending alternative, R&B, and soul music in to one on “Go Blue Blood Red”. The result is an exciting sonic mix with Little’s soothing vocals tying it all together.
Take a listen below and be sure to listen to the entire album here.
Electro | SNAKED – ARENA
Posted by admin on September 28, 2015
SNAKED is the brainchild of the elusive Hugh Myrone and Depressed Teenager. The slashing guitar and heavily electronic-focused production is like nothing else in the current music landscape. Exciting to listen to from start to finish, SNAKED takes you on a journey that sounds like a WWF match, 1am at Coachella, and an 80s rock concert, simultaneously.
Already having graced Ham On Everything patrons with a performance, who knows when or where we will see SNAKED next.

Finally, after numerous exciting singles and building of anticipation, the duo Aer has unleashed their full length album “One of a Kind”. While it stays true to their old reggae-rap sound, the album is a complete step forward for Aer. I’ll leave it there and let the album speak for itself.
