NYC-based producer TJ Sarda (Thero), is coming off some serious success from his remakes of tracks by The Chainsmokers, Frankie, and James Young, which all have earned high spots one way or another on Hype Machine, and now is back with another sensual soothing remix of Goldroom’s 2014 hit single, “Till Sunrise.” Thero saw the great potential in the original created an even more intimate and sultry version of his own. The 22-year-old producer incorporates some chilled-out acoustic guitar riffs, with a perfectly crafted use of percussions throughout the track. Do not distinguish this remix as something similar to a lullaby that will help put you to sleep as the steel drums, groovy basslines and fancy piano chords brings some uplifting vibes to the track.
Thero’s take on “Till Sunrise” is the perfect tune for this upcoming summer as you can expect to play this as your kicking back with your friends, drinking a couple of beers at the beach, backyard barbecues with your friends, or just having a drive down the highway with your windows down. Thero’s ‘Till Sunshine’ remix is a free download that’ll hit you straight in the face with complete and utter happiness, grab it above.
Nu Disco | Jerry Folk Delivers Stunning Nu-Disco Remix of Oh Wonder’s “Lose It”
Posted by Tay on May 29, 2015
Ever since his remix of “Jealous” by Chromeo, the up-and-coming Norwegian producer, Jerry Folk, has been on my list of artists to watch, and today, he’s unveiled his latest effort, a stunning nu disco remix of UK indie dance duo, Oh Wonder, and their track, “Lose It.” While Jerry Folk’s techy remix of “Talk” by Atlas Bound was a slight departure from his typical stylings, the talented musician returns to his roots with this one, as he masterfully blends a groovy house backbone with his signature nu-disco sound that only further elevate the captivating vocals of Oh Wonder. You can stream the entire remix above, and lucky for us, it’s up as a free download!
House | Get Ready For Outdoor Summer Parties With The Rooftop Boys’ Remix Of Syn Cole
Posted by Tay on May 29, 2015
Does anyone have The Rooftop Boys’ number? Because, I want to party with them in NYC this summer. Their latest remix of Syn Cole’s “It’s You” is out of this world and is the perfect example of why these guys are the next big thing. For one, their notoriously bouncing bassline is dancier more than it is hard-hitting, which is exactly what summer should sound like. Second, they put just the right amount of tropical on their productions to not go overboard and kill the panflute and xylophone. Lastly, their sound is the perfect balance of low-key, deep grooves and hands up partying that anybody will have fun too. Another job well done to the NYC duo. The Rooftop Boys’ remix of Syn Cole’s “It’s You” is available now on Beatport.
Bass | Varien Takes Us Into A Multi-Layered Bass Abyss With New Single “Aether and Light”
Posted by Tay on May 29, 2015
Varien, one of Monstercat’s serial returning bass renegades, is not afraid to switch up his style during his exploration of finding his niche sound. Feeling comfortable in the sphere of bass heavy productions, the Tampa-based producer releases his latest depth-dropping single “Aether and Light.” A contrast is strung throughout as Varien starts off with a Middle Eastern-tinged, bright refrain that he then builds into a stabbing, snarling drop that is one part dubstep and one part something else. Another truly unique output from Varien, you can grab your copy of “Aether and Light” here via Monstercat.
Bootleg | SomeKindaWonderful Gives Ratatat’s “Cream on Chrome” a Vocal Twist from “The Problematics”
Posted by Tay on May 28, 2015
I’ve been a fan of SomeKindaWonderful since their debut single, “Reverse,” off of their first studio album, SomeKindaWonderful. The Cleveland-based rock band has been on a steady rise to stardom, as their unique fusion of electronic music with live elements of a rock band is hard to find in dance music. Today, they’ve teamed up with fellow electronic rockers, Ratatat, for a mashup of their unreleased track, “The Problematics,” with Ratatat’s new single, “Cream on Chrome” that will blow you away. Ratatat’s electro-rock production provides the perfect canvas for vocalist Jordy Towers’ alluring croons. Plain and simple, this track is some kinda wonderful. Stream the mashup above, and get your free download here.
House | EDX Unveils His Latest X-Booty, “I Found U in Uruguay”
Posted by Tay on May 27, 2015
While most artists prefer to split up their time touring and working on music in the studio, EDX always seems ready to do both. Even in the midst of his “Want You” North American tour, the veteran producer has managed to find time to deliver his latest effort, an X-Booty of his remix of “Uruguay,” dubbed, “I Found U in Uruguay.” An expert fusion of Axwell’s “I Found You,” with his chart-dominating remix of “Uruguay,” “I Found U in Uruguay” maintains the house backbone of EDX’s remix, while the track is further elevated by the soulful vocals of Max’C. The Swiss-based DJ has been playing this bootleg out on his NoXcuses podcast recently, but it’s finally seeing the light of day, and you can snag the free download here.
Deep House, Future House, House | You Won’t Just Like, You’ll Love Kasum’s Latest Remix of Flo-Rida

Flo-Rida is an undeniable serial hitmaker, but his one flaw is that his songs may be too “commercial” for the more dance music-inclined fans. Well, NYC/Boston’s remix mastermind Kasum looks to bridge that gap with his official remix of Flo-Rida’s “I Don’t Like It, I Love It.” With a feet-shuffling, bouncing bassline and the original’s sing-a-long lyrics working together, Kasum once again fuses pop and EDM into complete bliss for his first official remix on Atlantic Records. The remix will be officially released on June 16th, but Kasum lets us have an early preview ith the full stream above.
