Moombahton | Moombah Mondays
Posted by Sev on March 6, 2012
Im going to continue the random, yet awesome photo trend I have been posting this past week. Sorry to keep you guys up all night waiting for Moombah Mondays, but better late then never. First up we have none other than Bro Safari getting ready to unleash his EP “Bros Gone Wild” tomorrow. Be sure to scoop it tomorrow because there are some sick originals on it as well as some fresh remixes. Here is a little minimix to hold you off for a few more hours.
Not only is he releasing his EP tomorrow, he is also giving away a free track though Scion A/V. Talk about being on a hot streak, there is no stopping him lately.

Nine downloads? That doesn’t seem right, because this track is the t*ts. Ya I had to go there because these guys went all out on this Moombah drop. Recommend all Moombah fans download this one.
Jordigan, Rostik & Wespeakprose – Rome [Free Download] by Jordigan
OOAH, as most of you probably don’t know, is 1/3 of Glich Mob and 1/2 of PANTyRAiD. Giving away this nice freebie Moombah style bass music on Sunday that isn’t quite as heavy as the previous track. The track build’s up nicely with little hints of a laser synth drop on the horizon. Really feeling the new bass music movement going on lately. STRAIGHT TO THE BACK by OOAH
If anyone needs a new 30 minute Moombah mix to jam out to over spring break, look no further. We have posted a few of DJ Bent’s Moombah remixes before, but this mix is filled with banger after banger. Featuring a few of his tracks as well as bangers from all the big names in Moombah.

Dubstep, Electronic | Labrinth – Last Time (Raf Riley Remix)
Posted by Sev on March 5, 2012
This is a little something different from my usual posts, but the laser synth in this track is too appealing. The first time through I was expecting a huge drop, but instead I was hit with a more tasteful bass music style drop. This is a more futuristic Quasarstep/Moombah style of music, which is pretty dope if you ask me. Labrinth – Last Time (R.R.R.) by Raf Riley
Dubstep | Ian van Dahl – Castles In The Sky (The Frim Remix)

Big ups to Gabe for sending me this track because I was completely caught off guard when I saw the title. We all listened to this track back in the day, but now we can come out of secrecy when we do. While the original vocals are still intact, the drop will blow you away so be warned. The Frim is a producer who has been flying under the radar, but has had his tracks noticed and played by some of the big names today. Bassnectar used to drop one of his well known remixes, Minnesota- Bass Power(The Frim remix), about a year back that you can see HERE near the end of the video. Thats saying something, and not too long ago Skream and Benga said one of their favorite tracks at the time was an original by The Frim entitled High Technology Dub 6.
Download through his Facebook.

Dubstep, Review | Flinch – Light It Up EP
Posted by Sev on March 2, 2012
Flinch’s new EP hasn’t been getting the recognition it deserves, and from asking around it is safe to say everyone who has listened to it was caught by surprise. All four tracks on this EP are refreshing, and pleasing original dubstep tunes. Starting off with Light it Up,vocals provided by Heather Bright, which is a well worked vocal dubstep track. The drop isn’t anything crazy, but stylish enough to listen to a 100 times and not get tired of it. The second track on the EP is probably my favorite, because he showcased a version of it late last year but as a remix of a Katy B track. I’m really happy he decided get a vocalist, Domonique Porter, to lay down some original vocals to this absolute monster track. Third, we have a track entitled Lost In A Blur and I would have to say that title sums up this track well. There is a feeling of not knowing what is coming in this track, because it starts off soft and ordinary then a pretty heavy drop just slaps you in the face. The last track on the EP reminds me somewhat of Flinch’s remix to Woman Like Me, because of the same UK Funky vibe throughout the track. Grab this EP on Beatport HERE.

Dubstep | Culprate & Deadpool
Posted by Sev on March 1, 2012
Culprate’s Tentacle VIP and Deadpool’s remix of Prepare To Die are best described as Fire and Ice; polar opposites of each other. Culprate’s VIP is a nice melodic dubstep work of art. The intro builds up with a nice piano sounding synth into an almost jazz/blues sounding drop where the snares and drums pick up the pace. A true melodic masterpiece from Culprate. Now we move to the other side of the spectrum, which in this case is Deadpool’s remix of Bare Noize’s Prepare To Die. The best way to describe this track is to “Insert UKF filth comment here”. Caution: the drop will melt your subs.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Moombahton | Noisia – Split the Atom (Special Edition)
Posted by Sev on February 29, 2012
I don’t know where to even begin with Noisia’s latest massive album release. This is easily one of the biggest releases of the year by far with remixes from many of the big names across EDM. I had to take a few days to listen to each track multiple times to actually realize the quality of each and every remix. Starting from Kito’s highly anticipated Split The Atom remix which is amazing in so many aspects. To Kill The Noise’s vicious DnB remix of Diplodocus which even caught Deadmau5 off guard. This track got 80,000+ plays in 12 hours; that is extraordinary. One remix that I think isn’t receiving the respect is should is, Munchi’s Tommy’s Theme remix. Munchi takes this well orchestrated track from Noisia, and almost creates a new genre of music through this one remix. In a recent interview I saw Munchi talking about how he has been tampering with a new genre entitled Skull-step, but wasn’t ready to actually make a track in the genre yet. Well I would have to say if there was any track on this album that came close to sounding evil or skull like, it would have to be this one. How can anyone forget 16 bit’s remix that has been on everyones waiting list for over a year now. I don’t want to go through all the remixes and talk about how amazing and unique they are because that would take me all day. I recommend everyone listen through each track, because I am almost certain there is something in there to appeal to everyone.
The Album is on pages 3 and 4.
