Dubstep | SpectraSoul – Away With Me (Kito Remix)
Posted by Sev on June 18, 2012
Man do I love Kito’s production style. Keeping the bass heavy and the screechiness to a minimum; she provides us with another amazing remix through Spectrasoul. She proves that you don’t have to go crazy with your sounds in dubstep to make some noise and gain some attention. The structuring and use of the vocals through her remixes always seem to indent their way into my brain. Nevertheless she is another addition to the underrated dubstep artist list for me. Looking forward to getting another EP from her soon hopefully. While we are on the topic of release’s from her she has just started a new project alongside Reija Lee named “Faux No” that has a debut single coming out at the end of the month. Check the new project out HERE and grab Kito’s remix off Beatport HERE.
Moombahton | Mr Mongoose’s Fantastic Weekend EP
Posted by Sev on June 18, 2012
Sorry I have been letting Summer take the best of me these last few days, but no worries because I am about to unleash all hell on releases this week. I didn’t get the chance to post this last week before the shenanigans began, but it is definitely worth the post. Circus Records decided, to hell with it, if no major labels are gutsy enough to put out a Moombahton EP with well known artist, we are going to stand out and show them how it is done. And they easily delivered some sensational funky tunes. Doctor P and Flux were able to convince some of these artist who I could never imagine making a Moombahton track to do so. The master of the dirtiest darkest tunes, who even has two personas to separate his Deep Dubstep and Heavy Dubstep tunes, FuntCase/Haze, even took a stab at Moombahton. Personally that says a lot about Circus Records and the artist they work with. Trying to expand a newly growing genre as well as the boundaries for their artist. I won’t say that I personally thought all the tracks were amazing, but 501, Doctor P and Dillon Francis, as well as Brown & Gammon surely delivered. Don’t sleep on this exciting EP and get it on Beatport HERE.

Dubstep | R Rated #33
Posted by Sev on June 14, 2012
Schoolboy is known for his big remixes as of late. Who can forget his Antidote remix which is still rinsed out by Knife Party almost every show, or his Why I Love You So remix. Even better was his EP “The Science Project”, which contained my favorite track by him till date, Paradigm. Now embarking on his latest and largest remix for Infected Mushroom’s track Nation of Wusses; he has gone and done it again. Smashing another monster creation of his that is sure to have him noticed, if people don’t know of him already. This first preview has to be one of my favorite remixes of the week. Teknian crushing this Fade Into Darkness remix for the Avicii remix competition, but deciding to not submit it through. Instead he is going to lay down some original vocals for release later on, which excites me even more for its release.
InfraRed is moving onto big things as far as there upcoming releases. Some of the stuff I have been hearing is sounding monstrous and out of this world as far as dubstep and drum & bass. This Wickman EP is sounding big so be sure to be on the lookout for a release date in the upcoming weeks. I love the old school heavy sounds in this track and how they are all mixed in so well together.

Dubstep | Audioshock – Faceless (xKore Remix)
Posted by Sev on June 11, 2012
xKore feeling generous today and giving away this free remix. Known for his heaving mashing of growl sounds, xKore delivers this amazing remix of Audioshocks “Faceless”. Using some nice piano melodies in the beginning which we aren’t used to seeing from xKore, then slowly building his way into a vicious drop. This track is not for the weak hearted, so be warned.
Dubstep | Emeli Sandé – My Kind of Love (Gemini Remix)
Posted by Sev on June 11, 2012
The amazingly talented Gemini is back at it again with another one of his famous piano-influenced, melodic dubstep remixes. Consistently producing top level remixes and originals that are sure to elevate you out of this world; this new one completes the task. Not over exhausting us with the heavy grime that so many artist proceed to convey, Gemini stays true to his own style through almost all of his tracks. The only downfall is that this is currently a UK release, but I couldn’t hold off on it. Stay tuned for info about Gemini’s album as well which is currently in the making. You can get this track on the UK iTunes HERE.

FINALLY! Another track has been released after a year of waiting. L.A.O.S. has released their album “Finally”(ironic), which contains the glorious remix that was previewed almost a year ago by 501. This track encompasses all the excitement and ingenuity 501 brings to dubstep. Using the amazing vocals to his advantage and producing one of the finest tracks released this year; it is oh so sweet to finally have this track. Always pushing the boundaries you are never sure what to expect from this outstanding and eclectic artist. Get the track on iTunes HERE.
Drum & Bass | DnB Fridays
Posted by Sev on June 8, 2012
Tantrum Desire back at it again already after just releasing their “Get With It / Reach VIP” EP. Seems as though Rusko is planning on releasing a remix EP for, what I felt was one of his best tracks on his album, “Thunder”. Really looking forward to seeing who else has a remix for this track. 2DB seem to be hard at work after releasing an EP only a month ago, now set to release one on Sunday. This EP is no joke featuring some heavy hitting DnB as well as some melodic masterpieces. They completely innovated their sounds from their last EP making it seem as though it is not even the same people producing this EP.
Hot damn, InfraRed Music is cranking out some monster tunes from all of their artist. Rewind, set to release this two track EP on June 18th with one vivacious DnB track and an exhilarating dubstep track like nothing I have ever heard. Words can not describe the excitement I have waiting for this release. InfraRed has made its way to the top of my list for favorite DnB labels. Everyone should check them out on Facebook HERE.
