Fans of Aer, Cris Cab, or Academy take notice, William Bolton is up next and is easily becoming one of my favorite artists. The Detroit native is bringing back old school Mo-Town and mixing in some Pop, Hip Hop and Summer vibes for a scintillating sound that has you playing it time and time again. On My Mind is going to be on his forthcoming project, ‘Love Supreme‘ set to drop this summer which should be one of the top projects set to drop in 2015.

As Winter turns to Spring in New England, Boston native TJ Hickey delivers some summer-esque acoustics vibes with Good Girl. The Sean Devine produced track is extremely smooth and a much slower change of pace relative to TJ’s previous work. Good Girl is the last of four releases from TJ as he continues to prepare for the release of his album Undeniable coming this summer. Stay connected with TJ on Twitter and Facebook!
Hip-Hop, RnB | Dylan Reese Tells You All About ‘Miss America’ With His Smooth Vocals

R&B is a genre that gets lost in the shuffle, with EDM, Pop and Urban dominating most of the mainstream media outlets and blogs there is a significant amount of talent that goes unrecognized. Though, with the prominence of acts such as The Weeknd, SoMo, PartyNextDoor and others, some light is starting to get shed on one of the few genres that has proven to withstand the test of time.
Boston native Dylan Reese is one of the most promising talents in R&B in quite some time. Smooth vocals, incredibly original content and a work ethic that is required to make it in this industry. Dylan wrote ‘Miss America‘ back in 2013 but only recently put the finishing touches on the track with his very talented producer, October. This track really encompasses all of Dylan’s talents as the content is on point, the hook is extremely catchy and you even get Dylan spitting on a verse.

Alternative, Hip-Hop, Indie, Reggae | Summer Is Officially Here With Academy’s New Single ‘Outta State’

With snow continuing to fall in the Northern parts of New England as recently as ten days ago, the duo known most for their summer vibes, Academy, decided to tell Mother Nature enough is enough and it is time to heat things up. While most gravitate towards comparing Evan Walsh and John That to the likes of Aer, it would appear Academy has found their own unique sound with their newest releases.
A month ago the Los Angeles residents dropped the visuals for ‘Hold Me Down‘, which was a much funkier sound than we have come to expect and today’s release ‘Outta State’ will completely blow you away. This track completely flips the formula with John spitting some incredibly witty verses and Evan supplying the audience with an extremely catchy hook that will have all singing ‘THATS JUST HOW I FEEL!’. With producer Matt Osenton working exclusive with the duo on the new project it is safe to say this EP is going to be one of the best in 2015.
Be sure to play this one extremely loud where ever you are and give Academy a follow on Twitter and a Like on Facebook!

While the wait for TJ Hickey’s album ‘Undeniable‘ set to drop later this Spring continues, TJ decided to drop a small EP of 4 tracks that didn’t quite make the cut for the album. The EP, enlisted ‘All Love‘ will be rolled out over the next few weeks and today we get the first release, a club anthem titled ‘Shirtless & Shitfaced’. Despite its unappealing name, the song is quite the banger, give it a listen.

Bootleg, Electro | Sugar Hill Gang – Apache (Kastra Bootleg)

You know it the second you hit play, but you’ve never heard it quite like this. The classic Sugar Hill Gang record gets a club re-work by twerk magician and producer Kastra. Apache is one of those tracks that people just know what to do when it comes on, it’s like a right of passage in America. Now, when this Apache remix comes on there will be massive amounts of twerking, hip thrusting and some just downright confused people, most likely on Molly, wondering is they should do the original Will Smith x Carlton dance or to just say ‘Fuck It’ and go wild. Either way, this is a club banger.

Addicting; that is just one of the many thoughts I have in regards to the latest offering from the next big thing, William Bolton. Unique; an adjective that truly encompasses what his sound is. Bolton, not to be confused with everyone’s favorite baby making music, Michael Bolton, brings old school to the forefront and clashes it with synths, keys and riffs that transcend any specific genre or period in time. Repeat; what this song will be on for quite some time in my car. Enjoy the free download via William’s SoundCloud and be sure to peep his previous single, which also happens to be addicting ‘Dream At Night‘.
