Bootleg | Sean Johnson – I Found Sunshine x Bassive Antidote
Posted by GMONEY on December 10, 2011
For his latest two bootlegs, Sean Johnson, has taken on a number of big names including Avicii, SHM, and Knife Party. Here is what he had to say about his latest track:
Sunshine is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year, well worth the Grammy nomination in my opinion. I also loved the Special Features rework, as he added his signature grungy/groovy bass and massive build ups. I sliced the two tracks up and then layered them on top of each other throughout most of the track, giving it the huge, euphoric feel that the original somewhat lacked.

Hip-Hop, RnB | The Weeknd Uses Sheldon Scott’s “Little Bit” Produced by T-Minus
Posted by GMONEY on December 10, 2011
In 2009, an artist by the name of Sheldon Scott, hailing from Toronto, Canada, appeared in our inbox as many song submissions do. This submission was different from the rest. Sheldon appeared to have no Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace (Yes, in 2009 Myspace was still being used) despite being connected with some of the biggest producers and artists in Toronto. His songs were pop perfection, incorporating poignant lyrics and catchy melodies. He was an enigma, and still remains one today.
In the submission, sent around 2009, was a track entitled, “Little Bit”, a T-Minus produced guitar-driven ballad presumably dedicated to that special someone in his life. This was not the only T-Minus produced track that we received from Sheldon at the time. Every song he sent us blew us away. We couldn’t help but think: how is this man not signed? We had heard rumors that Sheldon had been offered numerous recording contracts, but turned them down because the terms weren’t to his liking. Sheldon seemed to be in no rush to sign to a major label despite their repeated interest in him.
Fast forward to 2011. Toronto native, Abel Tesfaye, also known as the Weeknd, had made his meteoric rise with the help of Drake’s brand manager, Oliver El-Khatib. The Weeknd had been rumored to be not only working with Ill Angelo, but also Boi-1-da and T-Minus. It’s no secret that The Weeknd’s music is in high demand, as evidenced by the pre “House of Ballons” and “Thursday” leaks that have given us a glimpse into his early creations before his signature sound was carefully crafted.

Hip-Hop, Videos | D. Tucker- Love It, Hate It (Video)
Posted by GMONEY on December 9, 2011
Enter the mind of Dwayne Tucker, also known as D. Tucker, a 22-year-old hip-hop artist from the Bahamas, where somewhat good is okay. Earlier this year, D. Tucker released a mixtape entitled, “Somewhat Good Is Okay” that created a noteworthy buzz around the Miami area. Following the mixtape release, D. Tucker dropped the visual for “Love It, Hate It” a stand out cut with a classic hip-hop feel incorporating catchy trumpet riffs and cerebral word play. Below, you’ll find my favorite cuts from the project, as well as the entire project for free download.
When asked about his life philosophy, D. Tucker said, “I’m living to be the best me that I can be. Life’s a non-stop vacation.” Indeed, D. Tucker’s philosophy serves as a testament to those making their passion their profession. When you do what you love, your entire life becomes one long vacation. D. Tucker, artist and philosopher. He’s clearly on one. Somebody swag this man out. Be sure to follow D. Tucker on Facebook and Twitter and he continues on his musical journey.

DJ-Set, Electro | Fresh New Tracks Mix 12/8/2011
Posted by GMONEY on December 9, 2011
So its no secret that FNT’s resident DJ, JurisDoc, has been slacking off lately. Using our typical FNT HR hiring and firing practices, we told him he had one chance to convince us he was worthy of keeping around… the mix-off of all mix-off’s, if you will. Well I will be the first guy to admit that JurisDoc came through in the clutch and delivered a face-melting electro mix that will keep you grinding through the thick and the thin of whatever this weekend has in store.

Hip-Hop | Red Cafe ft. Trey Songz, Wale &, J. Cole – Fly Together (Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on December 8, 2011
For the offical remix to his Ryan Leslie produced hit, Bad Boy’s Red Cafe recruits MMG’s Wale and Roc Nation’s J. Cole for dope verses, and Trigga Trey on the hook. Unfortunatly this version has some pretty annoying Funk Flex tags on it, but we’ll get you the final version ASAP. Who had the best verse? I’m going with J. Cole, but voice your opinion in the comment section.
