Albums, Progressive House, Review | Eric Prydz Presents Pryda
Posted by GMONEY on May 24, 2012
Finally, after a much anticpated wait, Eric Prydz has released his first artist album, a three disc anthology called Eric Prydz Presents Pryda and it is INCREDIBLE, a solid 5/5. The first disc is a collection of unreleased tracks & the second and third discs are retrospective mixes which mix together past hits and b-sides. While the first CD emphasizes his progressive roots, it shows the marked change from the beginning of Prydz’s career. His massive 2004 hit “Call On Me” (which had an awesome music video, check that below) initially projected him into the club scene.
Call On Me
Starting in the same scene as Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axwell (collectively known as Swedish House Mafia currently), he soon made his own path under the monikers Cirez D for his hard-hitting techno tracks and Pryda for his Progressive club bombs. Over his ten year career, Pryda has nailed down his impeccable producing style, and it is seen in every track he makes. Grab this release on ITUNES, BEATPORT, or SPOTIFY. Now to the actual music, let’s do a track by track review after the jump.

One of the biggest events of the summer has got to be Yacht Week. Well, for those of you who have real lives and can’t spare a week to rage in Croatia, we have got just the event to get those summer party juices flowin: Yacht Club Week(day). On June 7th mashup stars Kap Slap, Doug Bogan, and Greg Golterman will be taking over Websters Hall in New York City. This mashup team will be combining all of the party fuel that you might receive from the entire Yacht Week into a mere Yacht(day). Yes, I know this may be hard to believe, but the only real way to find out is to get out there on June 7th, click here for more info….oh and please enjoy the lastest rage-your-face-off mashup from Doug Bogan.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | 50 Cent – The Lost Tape (Mixtape)
Posted by GMONEY on May 22, 2012
NEWS FLASH: 50’s back. After taking a detour since his last album Before I Self Destruct, Fif releases his latest mixtape The Lost Tape with DJ Drama doing the mixing. Whetting our appetite for his anticipated album coming later this year, which is thankfully going to be a return to Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ (was supposed to be last year, but as usual Interscope Records is all up in his business), this mixtape is a flash of the old Curtis Jackson. The tape features Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and fellow G-Unit members Kidd Kidd (on three tracks) and Precious Paris, with beats from Araab Muzik, Tone Mason, Illmind and Mike Will to name a few. Some of the best tracks in my opinion include Swag Level, Riot Remix (which goes ultra HAM) and Murder One. Check out the tracks and download below.

Dubstep | Wolfgang Gartner – Redline (Paradigm Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on May 20, 2012
At the beginning of May, Wolfgang Gartner treated us to his incredible Progressive House song “Redline”. Paradigm takes a dubstep take on the track, and the result is dope. He really emphasizes the wobbles in the drop, check it out below. Show Paradigm some love on his Facebook and check his other tracks on his Soundcloud.

Progressive House | Natalie Gauci, New York FM – Everytime
Posted by GMONEY on May 16, 2012
Here’s another two Progressive House bangers for those who use Beatport (expensive, I know, but this where things are headed). New York FM throws down an incredible beat while Natalie Gauci lays some perfect vocals over this smooth, yet encompassing progressive beat. The Disfunktion Remix highlights the high synths and is more suited for a festival (whereas the original would be perfect for clubbing). The BEATPORT VERSION also features a radio edit of each.
