Hip-Hop, Trap | MF Doom – Potholderz (Acemyth Remix)
Posted by BP on November 30, 2013
Acemyth put out a pretty cool flip of “Potholderz” by MF Doom this weekend. It keeps the laid-back vibe of the original track, while putting a little pep into it. Funky and trapped out, this remix is lots of fun. Grab it for free if you’re feelin’ it!

Chill, Electronic | Phaeleh – Distraction (Jaymes Young Mix)
Posted by BP on November 28, 2013
Jaymes Young remade Phaeleh’s cool track released this summer called “Distraction” and it turned out beautifully. His remake is emotional and eerie, yet relaxing, and the vocals are really gorgeous. It’s got a unique melancholy vibe to it and it’s free to download! Check it out for yourself!

This original dubstep track from PRFFTT & Svyable called “Turn It Up” ft. Jonny Rose, the third release off of their Super//Natural EP, is melodic and moving. The vocals from Jonny Rose are really a stand out. They’re extremely ear catching and beautiful. They are giving this one away for free on Facebook!

Chill, Electronic | PARTYNEXTDOOR – Muse (Sango Bootleg)
Posted by BP on November 26, 2013
This track is not for everyone, but I really dig it. If you’re into minimal, sexy, baby makin’ music this track should do it for you! Think of the chopped and screwed style of mixing, but more sophisticated and you’ve got Sango’s Bootleg of “Muse” by Partynextdoor. This one’s free for us to download!
Dubstep | anEVEmachine – All In Her Head (RoughMath Remix)
Posted by BP on November 26, 2013
It seems like it’s been eons since I posted about any outstanding new dubstep tracks. RoughMath’s remix of “All In Her Head” by anEVEmachine is somewhere between melodic and heavy dubstep, leaning much farther to the melodic side. The only thing non-melodic about it are the growls thrown in during the drops, which were a very pleasant surprise. The vocals are kept it tact for the most part, and overall this track is a pretty fun listen. Grab it for free!
Electronic, Hip-Hop | The Physics – Play It Off
Posted by BP on November 23, 2013
The Physics, from south Seattle, have released this single called “Play It Off” from the forthcoming album “Digital Wildfire” that will be out on December 13th. The Physics bounce around in the sub genres of hip hop, and I’m not even sure what to call this one. Perhaps indie hiphop? Nonetheless, this track is tasteful and smooth. Mellow drums and rocking melodies flow with the sultry vocals to create a unique track. If you like this track, you can download it for free, and look out for the full album in December!
Electronic, Glitch | Peter Frampton – Do You Feel Like We Do (Psymbionic Remix)
Posted by BP on November 20, 2013
Although funk is not usually a genre I write about, I couldn’t resist posting this Psymbionic remix of “Do You Feel Like We Do” by legend Peter Frampton. I used to love this song as a kid, and always heard my mother playing it. Psymbionic keeps the talkbox effects in tact, while working some funky vibes into this track. Psymbionic says that Peter Frampton himself heard the remix and loved his rework. If you’re lovin’ it too, its free to download!
