Videos | Anthony Alexander – Leaving Me Broken
Posted by BIGLIFE on July 23, 2014
I love the internet. Every once in a while, you’ll find a gem. Anthony Alexander, a soul singer from California, covers Collin Mcloughlin’s “Broken” from his famed Tears Of Tempo EP with impressive results. While the video only has a few views, I’d keep a serious eye on this young crooner. He’s got serious potential. Did I mention Collin McLoughlin has been killing it lately? Yeah, I’d keep an eye on him too. You’re leavinnnng me brokennnnnn brokennnnn brokeennnnnnn. Still a tune.

Review | Rukkus: The App For Mobile Ticket Purchases
Posted by BIGLIFE on July 22, 2014
The people behind FreshNewTracks are no strangers to startups. We understand that oftentimes it’s difficult for a great product to catch enough eyeballs to make something happen. Therefore, sometimes we like to lend a helping hand when something catches our eye. Meet Rukkus, an app that makes ticket buying an easy process. Here’s what their team had to say about the app:
In an era where seemingly every kind of transaction can take place on a mobile device, the current state of the ticket buying process can sometimes seem a bit antiquated. Several major ticket outlets do not even have a mobile app, and the ones that do leave a lot to be desired.
Enter Rukkus: the fastest growing mobile ticketing app for iOS (Android coming soon!). With its sleek design and intuitive interface, the Rukkus app has essentially cut the red tape between planning and “being there,” to create a seamless and pain-free experience. The only thing standing between you and that sold-out concert all of your friends are going to tonight is two simple taps on your iPhone.
No more scouring your web browser for the cheapest tickets. Rukkus searches over 1,000 vendors to find you the best possible value on tickets for concert, sports and theater events.
In addition to its streamlined approach to purchasing tickets, Rukkus boasts some unprecedented discovery tools: Upon downloading the app, Rukkus will scan iTunes, Spotify and Facebook likes to build a unique “Music DNA” for each user. Based on that information, Rukkus suggests certain events in addition to tracking artists for whom the user has already shown interest.
For the more ‘D.I.Y.’ crowd, Rukkus allows users to browse events and listen to artists’ music within the app. As you find new artists you like, you can add them to your favorites, which will automatically update your Music DNA. If Rukkus is tracking an artist you don’t like, you can have them removed from your Music DNA, as well.
The days of sifting through overpriced ticket brokers and sketchy Craigslist ads are over. Put an end to FOMO once and for all. Download the app and go start a Rukkus.
Pop | Clinton Sparks ft. T.I. – UV Love
Posted by BIGLIFE on July 22, 2014
Is there anyone that Clinton Sparks hasn’t worked with in the realm of killer pop and urban music? The Grammy-nominated producer, mixtape master, and DJ has already been able to add names such as Kanye West, Beyoncé, Pharrell, Ludacris, Fall Out Boy, Puff Daddy and Trey Songz to his packed resume. The only thing left to check off is for the critically lauded pioneer to go solo, which he’s already got in the bag: Sparks is releasing the EP ICONoclast next month, which will showcase his wildly diverse range of influences and include collaborations from A-listers like 2 Chainz, Macklemore, Snoop Dogg, and T-Pain. FreshNewTracks.com is excited to share the video for the EP’s second single, “UV Love feat. T.I.” The tune will get you in the mood to move with its terse, angst-filled momentum. Be sure to look out for cameos from some of Sparks’s friends such as Mike Posner, Chanel West Coast, Ray J, Jay Sean, and the Janoskians. Clinton’s “ICONoclast” EP releases August 12 via Photo Finish / Republic Records.
Review | Mike Stud – Closer [Album]
Posted by BIGLIFE on July 20, 2014
Studnation is back and it appears Mike is closer than he’s ever been with his latest album, Closer. In May, Mike released a video to let his fans know about his new album release. The teaser reflects on the journey Mike has made from being a star baseball prospect to an even bigger prospect as a musician. This album shows growth and maturity in Mike’s life and music. He is most focused on being happy and letting the success follow. Does he have room to grow and improve? Most certainly he does, but even Mike knows he has a long journey ahead of him.
