Posted by Juicebox on March 20, 2015
Collectives are all the rage right now. Moving Castle has stood out among the rest as this group of Internet kids seem to have some serious creativity in the tank. Founding member AOBeats, Manila Killa, and Robokid started this project as a way to push each other to become better producers and they have now pulled in over 15 artists to build what Moving Castle is today. Their latest compilation, Volume 004, really steps up their love for bass-ridden genres and playful accents with the collective bringing in a couple newcomers to feature their tracks. One newcomer, Chet Porter, really shined with his track “Aluko River” that seems to take on a fantastical nature and really transport listeners into a dream-like world. LA-based Justin Jay has just released his 3 track EP on Pets Recordings, Momentum, and the young producer really pulled out all the stops to show us that he can produce every kind of deep. Long-time fans of the rising artist will be ecstatic to hear “How I Knew” for its intricate funk and bass elements that are also present in “Momentum.” With the title track, Justin Jay and Kill Frenzy channel their inner dark sides to spawn a creation that is meant for those warehouse parties where you don’t know what time it is that resonates closely to their previous collaboration. Finally, “You Give Me Butterflies” makes us never want to grow up because Justin Jay uses his airy synths and wistful FXs to make us truly feel those butterflies inside. With Momentum being his fourth EP, you can bet that Justin Jay has just begun his reign of rhythm and will continue on to reach for the stars in the coming future. Grab the EP here and enjoy!
House | Tchami Announces After Life EP with New Song & Music Video

One of France’s finest producers, Tchami, has returned with the first release off his highly anticipated second EP, After Life. The title track of the EP, “After Life”, has an eerie introduction that haunts us with its echoing vocals and epic synth buildup before leading us to a classic Tchami drop, and who doesn’t love those dirty Tchami beats?
Accompanying the release of the original was the music video for “After Life,” which has a much different vibe from his last video for “Promesses.” The video takes a dark approach, putting you in the shoes of a man struggling with the concepts of life, death, and what is to come after. It’s something that we have all thought about at one point or another, which is why we’re really digging this vibe from the illustrious Frenchman. Our first taste of what the After Life EP will sound like is oh-so-sweet and we’re craving more. Listen to the track above and be sure to watch the music video after the jump. Enjoy!

We’ve come to learn it’s not officially ‘Spring Break’ until Kap Slap releases his annual Spring Break Mix. This has easily become the most anticipated mix from any artist across the board. The 2015 ‘Spring Break Mix’ features Kap Slap’s signature progressive house/electro bootlegs, but he also kept things fresh with deep, future, and even tropical house selections. Dare we say this is the best ‘Spring Break Mix’ yet?
Electronic | The Remix ‘This Could Be Love’ Needed
Posted by Juicebox on March 9, 2015
It’s always exciting when you come across a track you can’t really put a label on or place in a genre. For his (or her) first release ever, AVNU has delivered a very ‘mellow’ and ‘chill’ remix that is rooted in 808s that has left all of us struggling to really define what sound this is. The one thing we do know is that this track is just beautiful and exactly what the original needed. The vocal cuts, the melodic but simple builds; everything about this track is what seemed to be missing in the remix competition Borgeous & Shaun Frank launched last month. Our hats are off to you AVNU.
