The state of Michigan makes a strong habit of producing some of the most influential musicians on the planet. Whatever it is that Michigoneans are doing to inspire artists to experiment with new, weird sounds and ideas, it’s definitely working and Waldo and Sango drink from that same pool. The Grand Rapids duo habitually create new inspiring music under the Soulcolection label . Yesterday, to help promote their L.A. + S.F. shows, Waldo dropped a revised version of “Kobe’s Song”, check that and the original version out below.

Earlier today the United States swept the Men’s skiing slopestyle event and thanks to the sounds provided by Mike Nakagawa, the mountain’s vibe was described more like spring break than the Winter Olympics. Mike, who goes by DJ Naka G, creates the soundtrack to the extreme course where riders life-long dreams are either made or broken… no pressure. We were lucky enough to catch up DJ Naka G earlier today:
House | WhiteNoize & Nima G – Haters Get Mad

A wise Fat Jewish man once said, “I keep an umbrella with me at all times to shield me from the tears of my haters.” Keeping a hater umbrella handy is something San Francisco based Dj/production duo, WhiteNoize, should probably consider doing because these fellas go to work and where there is someone working hard , there is usually a hater lurking, ready to cry their big salty tears all over the place. This Tech-House tune with deep dance-floor tenancies goes out to the haters for staying on their job. Haters would be better off popping a molly and giving someone a hug, then they are wasting their bodie’s hydration on hate-tears but then who would fuel the tanks of the achievers in the world? Either way, haters are going to have to figure out a way to stay hydrated cause bottled water isn’t getting any cheaper and you know they stay broke.
Hip-Hop, RnB | TBT: Tinashe ft. Chance The Rapper – Ecstasy (Remix)

This time last year Chance had just dropped ‘Juice’, a feature track off of his second Mixtape Acid, and his buzz was just building. Around the same time last year the multi-talented Tinashe was assembling her second tape, Reverie. Now a year later they are both in the midst of their ascension into God-like-status, so it’s hard to imagine that their collaborative joint was criminally slept-on, it was low-key one of the best collabs of last year. The ‘Ecstasy’ remix was an early window into the dynamism of both of these artists. Tinashe and Chance have since individually hopped on some major joints with some artful musicians and they seem to always fit in wherever a microphone needs blessing.
House, Videos | Le Youth ft. Dominique Young – Dance With Me (Video)

The Enigmatic NYC producer Le Youth pairs a glitzy visual -complete with 90s glam models- with his ‘Dance With Me’ single. The tune is focused around a disparaging sample from “No Scrubs” by the legendary R&B group TLC. What’s interesting about this tune is that the sample got chopped up and flipped into an inviting message void of all hater-ish vibes. No money? No problems, lets dance. Still living with the rents? Don’t pay your child support? Forget all that mess, get out on the dance floor and bring it! Dominique Young swoops in at the end and sows it all up with her up-dated version of a Left-Eye verse.
Watch for ‘Dance With Me’ to drop on Feb 11th via Ultra Music. In the meantime check out the official remix by TWRK .
Electronic, Hip-Hop | Paper Diamond – Black Rose

There is something to be respected about artists that can’t be categorized into a specific genre and Paper Diamond is definitely one of those cats. The genre spanning producer out of Boulder, Colorado is in the midsts of headlining his Cold Crush Tour. If your not able to catch him on the road and you happen to be in Vegas after March 26th you can catch him at club Surrender.
A few days back Hypetrak premiered Paper Diamonds latest offering. “Black Rose” is light, easy-going tune that rides the cusp between a Hip Hop instrumental and a downtempo electronic jawn. After downloading this freebie check out the Diplo & Friends mix that recently dropped for free on Paper Diamond’s Soundcloud. Be sure to check him out on his Cold Crush tour with some very special guests at any one of the dates after the jump.
