House | Brick’s “Off The Rack” Tells A House Story Worth Sharing

Posted by on August 29, 2016

I’m not sure if its the low pitched vocals, the in your face basslines, or the squirmy vibrato laced topline, but “Off The Rack” by Bricks is a catchy house track that’s fuses Miami and LA vibes into its own thing.

The Icon Collective graduate with a focus on house music, based in LA, is making his mark with “Off The Rack”. He’s recently partnered with a couple large companies in the music industry, so be on the lookout bigger things. Also, he’s dropping a label release soon as well too. 3rd times a charm – can’t wait to hear what’s next, the last two give a clear picture of what’s to come.

Australian house project known as LJ Hawk just dropped a new track called “High”, an infectious new housey tune that features the voice of a Sydney-based soul/R&B/jazz singer known as Ash. Ash’s spirited vocals, combined with the beautiful synth work and a catchy melody creates an uplifting, euphoric track that is a must listen. Here’s what LJ Hawk had to say about it: “I had been tinkering with a lot of sounds and song’s in the studio, doing my best to explore each of the elements in the hopes of learning more about what I love listening to in other people’s music, and then working it into my own. When I first heard Ash’s voice on some demo’s, I knew her style & sound would align really well with some of the deeper house track’s I had been working on.” They got together in the studio and created this masterpiece, set to be released on Sunstroke Records on September 2nd. Check out “High” now!

“Unravel” is the impressive debut single from a singer, songwriter, and producer who goes by the name JVLY. Based out of Sydney, Australia, JVLY gives us an intro into his chilled, atmospheric, electronic sound. JVLY says that the track is “about a search for solace, capturing a strange state of mind that’s somewhere between curious and aware. It questions morality and what we place importance on as humans.” The track is beautiful from start to finish, and JVLY’s soothing vocals really bring out the delicate instrumental of the piece. “Unravel” is definitely worth checking out, and I’m sure you’ll be looking forward to JVLY’s future releases as much as I am!
