It’s not everyday that you encounter an artist who in his bio classifies his own music as “one big wet fart,” and then delivers tracks that are up to the caliber (if not above the caliber) of some of the biggest names out there today; so, if you haven’t already heard of SAY MY NAME, now is probably a pretty good time to check him out.
Aside from being able to incorporate a sense of humor into his bass-filled tracks (see the Barney Theme remix [which actually isn’t bad, IMO]), this LA native also has the capacity to make everyone listening want to get on their feet and turn up like there’s no tomorrow. In his most recent track, a VIP of a previously released “FTS” remix, SAY MY NAME throws it up a level, infusing trap and hardstyle elements over three huge drops. Events, Review | 5 Things I Learned and Saw At Electric Adventure

In a little Throwback Thursday edition of event reviews, we have Electric Adventure, the 2-day festival that took place at Six Flags, in New Jersey over the 3rd and 4th of August. It combined a bass and trap heavy lineup, with some of the premier roller coasters on the eastern seaboard, giving you an experience where your adrenaline was always pumping, unless you were waiting in line for rides. The lineup was well rounded with guys like Dillon Francis, Seven Lions, GTA, 12th Planet and Zeds Dead all performing over the 2 days. In honor of hitting the 50k mark on Facebook, LA DJ duo gLAdiator released their VIP EP, a 3-track selection of some of their most popular tracks, tracks that you’ve probably heard at every music festival and block party this summer. Although it’s brief, each song varies enough to keep you on your toes for the release of their actual, official EP. The M1 Stinger track is dope though, probably my favorite out of the three.
