I’m surprised this track hasn’t gotten more coverage over the past few days. Candyland, the killer duo from Isla Vista, comprised of Josie Martin & Ethan Davis, just released (yet another) OG remix – and it’s spectacular to say the least.

Remember back in ’09 when a bunch of artists kept remixing/sampling this song (e.g. – Tiësto’s Remix  and Jason Derulo’s “Watcha Say”)? Well, Candyland just brought it back, and it’s straight fire. The way these two chop and screw the vocals, and then throw down an original beat with that classic Candyland sound is refreshing, leaving you wondering how you’re going to wait for their next production. Hit up that free download and enjoy!

Dubstep | Breathe Carolina – Mistakes (Inaki Remix)

Posted by on October 21, 2013

Stumbling upon this track was a nice surprise today. Inaki’s remix of “Mistakes” by Breathe Carolina features vocal sampling from the original song mixed with a fun, bouncy dubstep track. The melody is what really resonates with me. The drop is smooth, but is still clearly dubstep. If you’re looking for a cheerful, bass-filled tune, here’s a free one!

See there’s a big difference between being hungry and thirsty, we know what we want we just go about it differently, the hungry person work for it, the thirsty want it instantly

SundayStudDay is back again this week with another Lu Balz production. Sampling the hit track “Royals” by Lorde, it sets the direction of the track. Personally, this is one of my favorite #SundayStudDay tracks that has dropped in this series. Mike and the Tourings Boring crew kick off the Fall tour on September 27 in NYC. If you haven’t already, you can grab tickets for the tour below!

Trap | Grouplove – Ways To Go (Grandtheft Remix)

Posted by on August 10, 2013

It’s been slow in the dubstep world this week so here is some fun trap for your ears. Grandtheft’s remix of “Ways To Go” is just full of energy. From the piano chords to the vocal chopping and sampling, this song is on point. It doesn’t feature many of the “trap sounds” that we’re all used to hearing, and uses a lot of elements of the original indie track in a new way. This remix is the epitome of a summer jam, and will be hitting iTunes on August 13th. For now you can listen to the stream below!

Chill, Dubstep | Oso Gato – Too Soon (SLUMBERJACK Remix)

oso gato remixs

This song is a remix featured on “Re-Thinks” released to DIE HIGH Records a few days ago. SLUMBERJACK took OsoGato’s already blissful track and brought it new energy. The vocal sampling is outstanding and the synths that SLUMBERJACK added gave it a more upbeat twist. This song is up for free download and so is the rest of the album on BandCamp!

House | Bewilderbeast – Severed

Bewilderbeast - SeveredStumbling upon great tracks is one of my favorite things to have happen when I’m on the hunt for new music. Up an coming producer, Bewilderbeast, really came through with something incredible in terms of this original. The progression is soothing and smooth to the senses, taking you through the many layers of a blissful state. The build up at the second half of the track is fantastic, dropping into a great piano melody backed by Bewilderbeast’s cool vocal sampling. This is the first single off of Bewilderbeast’s upcoming LP, “Unreal_Estate”, releasing on August 1st.

Lawd that’s nice. A great new vibration from the talented Sango boasts some third generation sampling of Drake’s ”What You’ve Done”, that alone originates from Static Major. No word yet as to this ambiances release so stay chooned.
