Events | Mysteryland USA’s 2016 Lineup Is Complete with 40 New Phase 2 Acts

Last week, Mysteryland USA leaked out a series of spotlight artists in anticipation of its phase two lineup. With performers like Art Department, Kerri Chandler, Ty Dolla $ign, Lido, and Joris Voorn already established, the phase two rollout is an exceptional broadcast of the festival’s endeavor to bring the sounds of today and tomorrow to fans of every genre. Attendees will now be treated to the added sounds of Ryan Hemsworth, Eagles & Butterflies, Hudson Mohawke, Matthew Dear, XXYYXX, and over 40 more artists that are all set to bring their talents to the festival’s third consecutive year in Bethel Woods, NY on June 10th-13th.
Established in 1993 in the Netherlands, the Mysteryland festival has grown exponentially as one of the premiere camping festivals in the world, and has extended its reach in the past couple of years to both Chile and the United States. Remaining reminiscent of the infamous Woodstock affair, the USA version of Mysteryland has shown time and time again that it continues to exist as a festival based on creativity, love, talent, and sustainability. Chill, Electronic | Sinead Harnett (Feat Snakehips) – No Other Way

The stunning British songstress Sinead Harnett, who you might recognize from her collabs with Ryan Hemsworth & Disclosure, recently paired up with my *all-time* fav producing duo Snakehips to bring us this electro-soul feel-good jam “No Other Way.” You’ll recognize those spacey sounds that are so quintessentially Snakehips, but it’s Sinead’s vocals that really steal the spotlight here, enveloping you like a gentle breeze on a warm summer day. If you’re a fan of Banks, you’re going to love this. And on a side note, shoutout to Snakehips for their efforts in bringing soul and R&B music back to life, what a breath of fresh air it is to hear something with some real feelings.

We’re approaching the one-year anniversary since the unforgettable release of Settle and yet, Disclosure remixes are still popping up at a steady rate. What this can only mean though is that for a remix to get any attention at all at this point has to really stand out. I think it’s safe to say Australian up and comer cln. hit the mark with this remix of “White Noise.” He brought this track around a full 180, turning it into a more passionate electronic ballad featuring strings and some very distant sort of tropical beats, not to mention somehow managing to transform Aluna Francis’s vocals into something more Amy Winehouse-esque, which works perfectly for this rework.
A quick glance at cln.’s Soundcloud is enough reason to expect big things out of this producer – his feed includes a delicate Drake remix (think Ryan Hemsworth) and a brand new Kilter remix that’s already heating up. Plan to spend your weekend with cln. on repeat.

Today we have this fantastic rendition of Wave Racer’s newest single, Streamers, remixed by Ryan Hemsworth. The beginning is very Vic Mensa suitcase-esque but as the song continues on it offers so many different sounds, it’s as if the whole song is broken down and simplified. If you have yet to listen to the original, then get your head out of your behind and get in tune with this Australian producer who will soon be on tour with Disclosure. With Odesza’s “Sun Models” only a singular song off this album, Pilerats Records has been working on this for awhile and ITS ALL FOR FREE with many other songs including one from Chiefs (below) just as exciting as this one! Next week, Fresh New Tracks will take on South By Southwest, the self-proclaimed “premier destination for all discovery” that sets the trends of music for the next year to come. SXSW is a film, music, and interactive festival that takes over the city of Austin for 10 outrageous straight days. The music festival is comprised of official and unofficial (usually free) shows, rooftop parties, party boats and buses and no to mention the most interesting collection of people you will ever see.

Just released off Rhye’s new album, Ryan Hemsworth decided to give this gem away for free. Rhye’s voice is amazing. She sounds great over the island chords in this remix. The album, “Woman” released on March 5th.
