Bootleg | Gorillaz vs. Jordy Dazz vs. Koan Sound/Kill The Noise – Clint Eastwood (Pierce Fulton Edit)

Posted by on August 16, 2012

Pierce Fulton rarely gives away free things are when he does you have to pay attention. Even I pay attention to a bootleg from the man (oh no a bootleg!). This is a bootleg that he has been playing out lately and has been getting a great response from and he had to give out to the fans. He combines the churning beats from Jordy Dazz’s “OMG” with the vocals from the Gorillaz and the dark, brooding tempos and grungy bass lines in the Koan Sound remix of Kill The Noise – Deal With It. Also after the jump are a few select bootlegs that really stand out from the pack and are not only well put together, but also musical.

DJ-Set, House | Pierce Fulton – Get Weird Episode 003

Posted by on August 5, 2012

Pierce Fulton is back with the 3rd episode of his radio show Get Weird on Tiesto’s channel on Sirius XM, Club Life. There is a slight change this time as he has a new intro with some funny quotes from movies. The great choice of music however does not change. He picks out a great variety of tracks with some groovy techy tracks, some progressive trancey ones, such as Audien – Eventide as previewed above that will be released tomorrow on Anjunabeats and plenty more, like the classic “Yeah!” from Boyz Noize (new album coming October 2nd). It is great to have a podcast that takes you on a musical journey of so many different genres and Pierce takes on the role of teacher, helping you discover new songs that don’t get as much attention as some others.

Progressive House | Usher – Scream (Pierce Fulton Remix) [Preview]

Posted by on July 23, 2012

When I first saw that Pierce Fulton had done this remix, I was a bit surprised and really had no idea what to expect. Listening to his past releases, I knew he could make some catchy, progressive stuff and with his talent, a great remix of a pop song was very easily within reach. However this is not a man who is just going to mail this one in, as you saw in his latest video where he locks away a song forever because “It isn’t perfect enough”. I was incredibly impressed from the opening of the remix with his ability to manipulate Usher’s powerful vocals and create a melody that fits the track and does not overpower the rest of the track. The remix starts with the emotion of Usher’s vocals and a soft, slow piano progression that slowly increases in speed and volume with the chorus into a drop with an uplifting synth melody, a pitched arp for layering and complexity, a steady bass line and vocal bits to round it all out. Release date is not known yet, but expect this package to be out soon. Also be sure to check out the upbeat progressive take from Project 46 and the remix from R3hab with liberal use of saws.

DJ-Set, Preview, Videos | Pierce Fulton Chapter 3 Part 1 + Get Weird Ep # 001

Posted by on June 15, 2012

Pierce Fulton takes us behind the scenes on his touring once again as we follow him during his first headlining show in NYC a couple weekends ago at Santos Party House. He shows us how different his sets are with a slew of personal edits, making his sets a new and unique experience. The video footage from the show previews a new remix of a Steve Aoki track that will be out on Ultra Records in the next couple months, so be on the look out for that. We also see a little bit of his home up in Vermont and that will be continued in the second episode where we will see more of the creative process in the studio.

Below is his monthly podcast “Get Weird” of Tiesto’s radio station on Sirius XM. It gives a bit of a change of pace from the usual podcasts we see starting with some tech and moving to more of a trance / light progressive mix. It is a mix that builds and builds like a proper dj set should. Tracklist after the jump.

Progressive House | Pierce Fulton – 10/6 (That Should Do It)

Posted by on May 2, 2012

If you haven’t already check out Pierce Fulton’s family vacation in Vegas, it is entertaining. Pierce Fulton has decided to giveaway two free tracks that are a bit of a change of tempo from his previous releases that were more upbeat and high energy. As the genre in the soundcloud plays states “Downtempo” and these tracks are exactly that. 10/6 uses movie samples with a moving bass line and a happy piano melody. The second track plays on the same vibe with very relaxing, smooth chords and playful key play with quick percussive strokes. These tracks are perfect for your finals grind or mid afternoon / late night relaxing. These tracks shows his versatility with his ability to produce any sort of music he wishes and not get stuck into one sound.
