Fresh off his showcase at the A3C Hip Hop festival, repping for the SRFSCHL movement, Eddie B drops “Splash” off his upcoming project The Johnny Utah Story , with a release planned on Monday 10/14, and yo if this project sounds anything like “Splash,” I’m mad looking forward to hearing it. From the bars, to the production, both Eddie and Harry Fraud deliver. Check that M83 sample and hear what Eddie speaks. My favorite line off the track is: “I just want to make more bread than Panera, I’m here to save the game like Mariano Rivera…” Must listen and get that free download!

House, Progressive House | M83 – Midnight City (Eric Prydz Remix)

Posted by on March 3, 2012

This remix was originally intended for his sets only, but it was so popular and had so many requests to be released that somehow surfaced / leaked on the web. Eric Prydz not to be outdone, then changed the song to create this final version that is a masterful remix of the original track that everyone knows and loves. Compare the official version to the private mix and then get the song below. Also M83 will be touring the US soon and has sold out almost all their shows, but there are still a few tickets left, so hop on that. Tour dates and another remix of M83 after the jump. Also look out for an artist album from Eric Prydz next month with tons of IDs that people have only heard at shows or songs people have never heard.

Electro | The Knocks – Midnight City feat. Mandy Lee (M83 Cover)

Posted by on February 6, 2012

Wow, The Knocks upload this electro gem of a cover by M83 to their soundcloud about 5 days ago. I got to see The Knocks last summer on Marthas Vineyard while they opened for Chiddy Bang, personally I thought The Knocks performance was much more appreciated than Chiddy Bangs. I actually had never even heard of The Knocks before that night. M83 on the other hand I am familiar with., but nothing else of his work seems to be able to compare to this cover he worked up.

Hip-Hop | YONAS – Midnight City (Prod. by Sean Ross)

Posted by on January 23, 2012

YONAS had one of the best hip-hop albums of 2011.  M83 had one of the best electronic/pop albums of 2011.  Put these two together and you have a work of art.  After seeing exceptional success with his remixes of “I Need a Dollar” by Aloe Blacc & “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster The People, YONAS and producer Sean Ross put their own spin on the 2011 hit.  Gearing up for the release of his next album, YONAS continues to impress track after track and with a fan base steadily on the rise, I think this project may knock the Bronx MC onto the next level.

“The most live MC, I’m feeling like Pac all eyes on me.  So if you’re ready let’s ride on 3, and be ready to die cause you know that I got you over…” – YONAS

P.S. Stay tuned for the “Fall Back” video dropping just around the corner.  It’s going to be notoriously big.
