Not going to lie, Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” is one of my guilty pleasures, so when I was sent an email with “Cry Me A River” trap remix, I knew I was already going to be posting it. Even with that said, I gave it listen and confirmed my suspicions, this track had to go up right away. I’m not the biggest fan of Trap yet but it is slowly winning me over and this remix is one of the reasons why. This remix is absolutely steller. B.Dolla has been greatly influenced by Timbaland and this is his homage to him and Justin. The remix also contains a sample from The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter.” Grab the free download below.

To the dismay of many, Canadian sensation Justin Beiber is back to drop his official “Boyfriend” single ahead of it’s Monday morning release schedule. Beliebers will eat this up, as he delivers another hit with a catchy hook and sub-par ying-yang twin like raps that will likely find it’s way to radio by Tuesday. Written by Mat Musto, Mason Levy, and Mike Posner, the song gives us a glimpse of a new “mature” Beiber that seems to be borrowing heavily from Justin Timberlake’s playbook. At least now that the Beibs is legal, he can buy “Plan B” from his local CVS like all boyfriends inevitably have to do. I <3 U JUSTIN!

I’m calling No Homo on this post before it even begins. Ladies, bail me out here…
Following her fiery debut with single “Whip My Hair” with “21st Century Girl” which did not ignite as much success, she has returned with her third single titled “Fireball” off her debut album. Ironically, the 10-year old prodigy tags Nicki Minaj for a verse for what appears to be the newest party track. Personally, I find it strange/wrong that Willow’s making party tracks before she can even pack her own lunch, but hey, when you have Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith as your parents, I guess you can do whatever you want. On top of that, she’s signed to Roc Nation, so expect Jay-Z to be building yet another “artist”, much like J. Cole. Chances we see a Cole feature on Willow’s album?

Just when you thought Lil Wayne may have his swagger back after we heard his feature on B.O.B.’s “Strange Clouds”, he hops on a Jonas’ brother track. The unlikely duo remixes Joe Jonas’ recent “Just In Love” song as Weezy drops some PG-13 lyrics for the kids. I guess I can’t knock him cause I’m sure this song will blow up on the radio, and these remixes are becoming more and more prevalent.

For all of you begging Justin Timberlake to return to his musical roots, here’s a sub par treat for you. JT hasn’t released music in several years, but people are anticipating a comeback. Personally, I think this track kinda sucks, but I’m sure girls will eat this shit up.

Mishal Moore is a great singer. I would never have thought to use her for a dubstep remix, but Document One made a move and stuck the landing.

At this point up and coming talent shouldn’t take me by surprise, but every now and again I’m shocked at how easily a little name artist can upstage some of the biggest names in the game. I guess that’s what happens as cheap recording options become increasingly available to the masses. Look out labels, here comes a well armed army of indie artists thats ready to conquer your market share! The featured music video and track from 3rddy offers the bulletproof combo, strong verses and a catchy hook. Simple, yet effective (by the way, what rapper does he remind you of?)
