The Ivy League graduate Elephante released his latest remix of “My Friends” by The Soundmen, and he continues to demonstrate why you should all be keeping an eye on the young producer. “My Friends” is a surf friendly indie-pop record that one might compare to Passion Pit, and Elephante adds a hint of Anthem House to make this track available to the DJs and EDM lovers. If you’ve heard the original Bedroom Bangers you’re probably a diehard upallnighter with a desire for orgasmic, just body crunching bass. I wouldn’t go as far as to say these tracks are chill in the sense of ‘ambient’ but they do have an ethereal bounce to them. All of them are tight, I personally high five all these tracks, So there you have it, some beats and some gibberish. If you want to know anything more about an individual artist, travel through their soundcloud to the rest of their discography.

Ever since this track was previewed 20 days ago, I have been eagerly awaiting its release. So much so, that I scoured soundcloud for any other remix of this song to see if there were any that could satisfy me until I could finally download Tjernberg’s remix. The answer to that is there was, and I have also included those after the break if you want to see for yourself which one you like best. Kim Cesarion is an amazing singer from the land of Sweden, which explains why you nor I had heard of him before and why pretty much everyone who remixed this is also Swedish. Tjernberg provided the perfect instrumental to compliment the superb vocals and even though it is pretty much a pop song, I still find it very enjoyable. Electro | Mord Fustang – If You Want (Original Mix)

Mimada here, broadcasting to you live from Sweden for the next few months. After sorting out the internet situation abroad, I could not be MOAR excited to make my first return post about anyone but Mord Fustang. Throughout the entirety of my experience with Mord he has remained one of my all time favorite artists. His style, so engaging and vivacious, is really unlike anything else out there right now yet is consistent enough to never disappoint. His latest track, “If You Want,” has all the standard Mord Fustang characteristics (slow build, bubbly repetitive what-sounds-like vocals, epic and totally satisfying conclusion) but has subtle elements of experimentation (see: 2:25). As soon as I heard this, I seriously signed up for Beatport account just so I could download it (yes, I’m a little behind).
Mord Fustang is like your favorite flavor of ice cream that you love to overindulge in. And when you start to think you’ve had enough of it, he drops a track that’s the same flavor, just with a new topping. And it’s even better than before.
As we say our final goodbyes to summer, we raise our Klondike bars, Swirled froyo cones and Drumsticks to you, Mord.
