Here’s a progressive wavy record for ya’ll “Paria” by Canadian production duo Kill Them With Colour intended to accompany your high during this 4/20 week long celebration (you read it correctly, week long celebration), though if you did it right you should still be THC’ed out from yesterday’s session. The vibes on this record are electric, but I can’t help but hear an artist like Drake hopping on this and crashing the internet with it. We’re approaching the one-year anniversary since the unforgettable release of Settle and yet, Disclosure remixes are still popping up at a steady rate. What this can only mean though is that for a remix to get any attention at all at this point has to really stand out. I think it’s safe to say Australian up and comer cln. hit the mark with this remix of “White Noise.” He brought this track around a full 180, turning it into a more passionate electronic ballad featuring strings and some very distant sort of tropical beats, not to mention somehow managing to transform Aluna Francis’s vocals into something more Amy Winehouse-esque, which works perfectly for this rework.
A quick glance at cln.’s Soundcloud is enough reason to expect big things out of this producer – his feed includes a delicate Drake remix (think Ryan Hemsworth) and a brand new Kilter remix that’s already heating up. Plan to spend your weekend with cln. on repeat.

It takes a lot to wake me a fallen blogstar up from his blog coma. This my friends, is one exception. Let me preface…
I’m sitting at my desk, dropping panties with my Excel wizardry, smashing through some emails while simultaneously scrolling through some blogs looking for new beats to feed my ears through the end of the work day. Some solid tunes along the way, but nothing too face melting for a Tuesday. Earlier in the morning I was scrolling through Twitter when I saw this tweet from LBJ;

Joke, right? The last thing Lebron James should be doing is rapping. My initial thought was that Lebron was “hosting” a mixtape (in other words slapping his name on it for some seamless promotion), with “features” (meaning guest tracks) from Jay-Z, Drake, Kendrick, etc. Wrong. WRONG WRONG WRONG, GRUBE. Four hours later and my ears are literally listening to Lebron rap – my ears. For those who saw the Jimmy Fallon x Lebron skit know why this news is so disturbing. I feel violated.
Lebron opens up his “F*ckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt” freestyle with an impression of Bun B, I think? Lebron, haven’t you learned anything from your predecessors? A.I., Ron Artest, Shaq, Kobe, Tony Parker, Chris Webber, the list goes on, bro. You’re trying to be the best ever and you’re dropping corny raps like this? You’re already one of the most hated players in the NBA from your circus act of a departure from Cleveland to your broken face “incident” earlier this year. If anything, be like KD and stay under the radar producing. For the sake of the NBA and more importantly humanity, please do us all a favor and never pick up a mic again. Ever. Did Jordan ever rap? Stupid question. Sorry Lebron, you can keep rapping about your “2 RINGS” in your 2 Chainz voice, while Bill Russell laughs at your antics while sipping a bourbon browsing Amazon for a ceramic hand to hold his 11th ring. Don’t worry though…

Alright so I’ve got 17 minutes on my self-timer before my computer goes into lockdown and I’m forced to start writing my 10-page midterm essay, so I gotta make this brief. Just moments earlier I was tipped off about this French producer SuGar and upon listening just to his most recent upload, I was compelled to expose this hidden gem. This track is a bit of a remix inception so ima break it down for you here. It all started with Lil Wayne’s “Love Me” feat. Drake & Future, which was then adapted (almost the point of being unrecognizable!) by sly5thave, a Brooklyn jazz musician and producer (who has some incredible other jazz covers worth checking out), which also features The ClubCasa, a Brooklyn-based music collective. Then finally, SuGar got ahold of that, spun a little trap on that ish and sprinkled it with some Bun B “Draped Up” rhymes and voilà! You’ve got this dirty south, brassy trap joint that’s simply one of a kind. And I’ve got another 5 minutes left on my timer, just enough to hit replay. Enjoy ~

Hot Damn, Enferno hits us with a live remix of Drake and Jay Z’s “Pound Cake” and it goes hard. Let it build for a good 2 minutes, but once it drops and he hops on the keys, you’ll be glad you were listening. Premiered on BBC Radio1 on Diplo & Friends last week, the remix is now up for free download, so get that, this is probably my favorite remix out right now.
