It’s here! It’s finally here! The debut Steve James single is out and you need to listen to it ASAP. From touring with The Chainsmokers, working on the new Bieber album, having a multitude of HypeM chart toppers – Steve James has accomplished at the age of 17 what most producers don’t in their entire lifetime. “Renaissance” combines beautiful pianos with energetic brassy sounds that make it a dance floor hit that you’ll have on repeat. Featuring the lovely vocals of Clarity, Steve James truly shows his versatility as a producer – showing exactly why he’s had so much success thus far. Don’t believe me? Listen to the track now and you’ll see why!

Australia has become recognized for the genre-topping ‘Melbourne Bounce’ sounds, but Wave Racer is another breed of futuristic hopping taste-making. Their remix to Duke Dumont’s ‘The Giver’ is a pure testament of this producer’s caliber and again, he hasn’t let fans down. The original Charter topper looks like it’s coming back for another round here and I suggest you hop on this one ASAP.

Latvian producer Tobu released an infectious little ditty “Infectious” and if I was a songwriter I’d be writing to it ASAP, because this instrumental is a hit pop record waiting to be written on. So if you’re Carly Rae Jepsen, Katie Perry, Ariana Grande, or even Calvin Harris, take note, you might have something with this one! I’ve been playing this tune on repeat, and either I’m a sucker for cheesy vibes, or this is just really good. What do ya’ll think, yay or nay? Either way, it’s a must listen and a must download in my book!

If there’s anything I can tell you about this track, it’s that this song is a must listen. I know I might be a little bit late on this one, but if you haven’t heard it, you need to right now. “Stay High” is an original mix by California-based Hippie Sabotage that samples vocals from Tove Lo’s pop record “Habits,” intended for the Aris Jerome directed video “Stay High.” Winter’s just about to start, but if you’re looking to recapture that summer vibe one last time, make sure to hit the play button ASAP; and if you really like it (which we both know you will), definitely worth checking out their other stuff too: straight quality.

Hip-Hop | A$AP Ferg – Shabba (ft. A$AP Rocky)

Posted by on July 7, 2013

asap ferg shabba

A$AP Ferg, who? Isn’t he that guy with that one really hoodrat “Work” song? Why yes, yes he is. Although, it appears that Ferg is no longer the one-hit trap star that most of us thought he was. Drafting the support of A$AP collective member A$AP Rocky, Ferg delivers yet another banger to blast throughout your suburban towns and private school parking lots.

“Shabba” is a single off of the so-aptly-titled mixtape, Trap Lord. I’ll have to deduct points for the originality of the mixtape name, but I believe Darold Ferguson Jr. (yes, that is his birth-name) has truly earned his “lord” label as he was no stranger to the vicious streets of Harlem while growing up.

If you can get past the fifteen seconds of “uhhh”‘s at the start of “Shabba”, you are in for a real treat. Check back in on August 20th for the full A$AP Ferg mixtape.

Dubstep | R Rated #27

After seeing Emalkay live during Nocturnal Wonderland here in Texas, I can honestly say this tune absolutely smashes crowds and stages. I need a release date for this tune ASAP, because I can only listen to these rips for so long. Emalkay took my MVP out of all the performers during Friday of the festival, and this tune was probably the determining factor. Really hoping we get some more tunes from this guy soon. I’m happy to say we FINALLY have a new track from Killsonik that was released out of no where yesterday. After only releasing one remix for Nero last year these guys were never heard from again until recently. Having their new single put up on UKF dubstep as well promoting the release of their EP, “Blood Lust” , on May 28th. I will give it to them though, this is a killer remix.

Mach has been eagerly awaiting the release of this next remix by Stepsonics. I had never heard of him before this, but what a way to be introduced. The track has a nice buildup which slowly levels off to where everything goes silent. Next thing you know you get slapped in the face by the drop. Take this as your warning.

We are slowly seeing more and more material emerging from the Never Say Die camp. After their two track remix EP released last week as well as Skism’s remix a few weeks before that; now everyone awaits the release of this drumstep remix of Hadouken’s Parasite. Who wouldn’t want a remix from Skism AND Zomboy. From what I have heard Zomboy has a EP in the making, so looking forward to hearing some of his new bits in the upcoming months.

How many artist do you know that can take Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up aka Rick Roll’d theme song and create a sick glich hop remix over the vocals? I can only think of one and that is the 17 year old producer, Teknian. I’m not going to lie I would like it to just be an instrumental, but either way the beat is dope.

Next up is an artist I have been following and keeping in contact with for a while now, but nobody knows of the talent this guy really has. I think the original to this track was top notch, until I heard this remix by Andrew D. This guy really has no boundaries, dropping tracks through all genres that just keep blowing me away. Whenever I asked him to let me know when he finished this track, he told me if he ever does….. You can imagine the face I made; something along these lines 0_0. Check out this tune and let him know your thoughts in the comments and encourage him to finish this amazing remix!

Dubstep | Delilah – Breathe (Emalkay Remix)

Posted by on April 19, 2012

I was quite shocked to find this amazing remix by Emalkay being given away for free today on Soundcloud by Delilah eventhough it was set to release on May 14th. Nevertheless I do love free music, especially when its from such a top notch producer. Emalkay somehow manages to keep the drop tasteful and not overbearing, but also monstrous simultaneously . The choice of a growling synth with layered basslines gives this track the effect of sounding heavy, yet melodic at the same time. This is only a taste of what is to come from him, because if you haven’t heard previews of his next single you need to ASAP. You can find it here; Emalkay – The Line (feat. Glen Boden).
