Apashe is easily one of the most underrated producers you are going to find. Since his beginnings he has pushed bass music to new heights and brought a level of musicality most producers could only dream to reach. They are lofty words, but Apashe’s iconic catalog backs it all up. He’s further added to it with one of his best records yet in “Distance” featuring the talented vocalist Geoffroy. This feels like it could pop in a big way and it sets up the future of Apashe which will see the release of his second album early next year!

“Feeling Good” was made popular by Nina Simone back in the mid 1960’s, but came out before that via a musical. Since those days it’s been covered by countless talents, but this newly released take by Apashe and Cherry Lena sticks out above the rest. Apashe’s tasteful interpretation of the composition matches the next level performance by Cherry Lena. Apashe’s Requiem EP was an epic collection of works unlike anything I had heard before. It couldn’t have been an easy project to follow up, but that’s just what Apashe is doing with his new single “Do It.” The emcee Black Prez returns to Apashe’s side on this one which takes a harder route than their previous track together. Here Apashe delves more into the dubstep world with a gritty bassline that still retains a melodic catchy sound. Not only is it a dope record, but it comes with a message that’s fairly obvious, as well as one that isn’t until you hear the very end of the record. So go on and click play!

Apashe has long been known for his hybrid sound, but now he’s upped the ante. His historic Requiem EP just dropped today on Kannibalen Records with three tracks that are literally unlike anything I’ve heard before. What would you think if someone said they made an EP of classical mixed with hip-hop and trap? You’d probably laugh, but once you listen to this project there’s no laughter, just awe-struck silence. It’s the beginning of the year and a lot of lists have been coming out about what producers are going to have the biggest years… Apashe should be at the top of the list.

Apashe is one of those creators that is likely your favorite producer’s favorite producer. His talent when it comes to songwriting and production is off the charts, which is evident in all his work, including his latest with Dope D.O.D. on “Supernova.” This original single was released today on Kannibalen Records and shares a distinct sound that brings dubstep, trap and hip-hip together under one roof. Apashe is about to be taking over Australia and New Zealand on tour where he’ll surely play this one out, but look for him to make his way around elsewhere come 2018! Usually when a remix project comes along it’s a small EP with a few to several tracks. Apashe didn’t want to do that for his Copter Boy LP. Instead he enlisted sixteen remixers to take on his one-of-a-kind project to make yet another one-of-a-kind project. The remixers include Ganja White Night, Dodge & Fuski, DISKORD, Arius, Goja and many others. All together this LP offers a wide array of sounds and styles, but centers in upon the bass scene.
