Future Trap, Pop | Mel Ody And Arielle Minx Release Stunning “Feeling Good” Cover

Posted by on August 6, 2020

Mel Ody is keeping up the pace in 2020 with yet another bright release, adding to his ever-expanding catalog of songs that masterfully combine orchestral and electronic elements. Marking his debut on Killabite Media, the Greek producer has enlisted Canadian singer/songwriter Arielle Minx to showcase his own spin on “Feeling Good”, an undisputed classic that has been covered by the likes of Muse and Michael Bublé, as well as electronic acts such as NGHTMRE & Slander, and the late Avicii.

Throughout the duration of the infectious track, Mel Ody showcases his knack for orchestral elements perfectly, combining brass stabs and string melodies with gritty basslines and hard-knocking drums. Arielle Minx’s vocal lines work perfectly on top of Mel Ody’s playful instrumental, making up for a catchy and uplifting result.

I’ve been loving this song since I was a kid and tried to recreate it many times; the production I came up with along with the stunning performance by Arielle Minx felt really special to me,” explained Mel Ody. “I feel like it offers a vibe of hope and happiness, something we all need in our life right now. My vision of blending electronic and orchestral sounds combined with deep and meaningful lyrics has never been stronger, I’m very excited to show the world what I have to offer, and this is just the start. Hope you enjoy it!

Bass, Chill, Future Trap, Trap | Juelz, juuku, Stay Loose and Others Team Up For “Renegade”

Posted by on July 6, 2020

I’m not sure how this many collaborators were able to pull off creating 1 single song together, but “Renegade (A Collaboration for Black Lives)” is something special and somehow does not sound like there are too many chefs in the kitchen, even if 10+ artists are all featured throughout this track! The flexibility on this song is impressive, constantly bouncing into one sound and then flawlessly into another with still sounding on point. Tune in above now!

Future Trap | Squired and Slowpalace Drops Future Bass Banger “Distance”

Posted by on December 20, 2019

Squired and Slowpalace have met up to make something that formed a cunning and inspiring work, Elysian Records dropping the future bass thriller to great fanfare.

Consolidating passionate harmonies and dynamic vocal hacks, Squired and Slowpalace have collaborated for a fiery future bass single called “Distance.”

Kicking off quickly in 2018, Slowpalace has experienced a strong development and backing inside the electronic music scene. With many hits under his belt, the quality of this doesn’t come as a surprise, but certainly the experience is all it’s own with all releases including this one.

“Distance” is a straightforward, high energy track that draws a lot of inspiration from legendary artists such as Rustie and Hudson Mohawke. When first creating Distance, my goal was to make something that sounded nostalgic but very raw and in your face. Sean (Squired) killed it on this track. We shared the same vision for this song so collaborating with him was very natural.
