Alternative, RnB | Shraban – Shoot (Prod. by Shraban)

Posted by on June 12, 2017

I got this promo sent recently, and I love it! Here is what the artists had to say, which is way better than what I had besides this tune being a smash:

Shraban releases his first song in over two months and it shows off all the work he’s been putting in. This new release ‘Shoot’ talks of some of the wildest times in his life, and carries the late night vibes prominent in the industry as of late. With chilling vocals and ambient vibes, the song has it all. Self produced by Shraban, his upcoming tape ‘Trap N B’ will be releasing soon as well.

Make sure you keep your eyes out for this newcomer!

RnB | Watch Teenear’s Brand New “Last Night” Video

Posted by on January 10, 2017

When ItsNoRequests sends you music, you stop and listen. Building on a slew of singles and covers, Teenear is poised to take 2017 with her infectious brand new “Last Night” video. Produced by emerging Miami based producer, Sipping Sake, “Last Night” tells the story of a girl fed up with the short-comings of a broken relationship, and promises. The song is a female empowerment anthem, written for every girl that’s gone through a tough breakup.

Of her brand new “Last Night” single Teenear said:

“Most people can tell you a story about an on and off relationship, it happens to a lot of us. This song just tells the story of when you realize that you really don’t need them because with or without them you still have your own and know your worth. You can still be a QUEEN without a king.”

Get familiar with Teenear’s “Last Night” single on Soundcloud, Spotify, and iTunes.

Bass | Chime Shares About Loving His Fans, New Music, Music Education & A Sick Exclusive Mix

Posted by on October 31, 2016

Chime is a unique dude in the melodic bass niche. Each release he drops flat out suprises and satisfies you easily – mixing pop elements, great arrangement and themes – with ground stomping dubstep. Firepower Records, NCS Records, Kinphonic, and several more labels have noticed as well, picking up his music and releasing to the masses. In particular, Firepower records is debuting Chime’s first EP – not a bad move for an up-and-comer.

The solo producer took the time out to provide an exclusive mix to FNT as well as an in-depth interview, check out both below.

Cover | Patty Crash & Kronic reinvent a classic

Posted by on October 28, 2016

To be honest, the idea of an Icelandic born songwriter covering a classic Australian electro tune sounds beyond bizarre, but somehow this is starting to make sense.

Patty Crash, who earned herself a Grammy nod for her work with The Roots, adds her “Macy Gray meets ODB” spin to Sneaky Sound System’s 2006 hit, Pictures. With a little help from the now LA-based Kronic, the duo transform the original electro hit into a trapped out downtempo jam.

Dubstep, Trap | AWAL Puts Bass Heavy Twist On The Trap Nation Hit “I Am The King” By James Meyers

Posted by on October 25, 2016

If you thought the feeling conveyed by James Meyers’ “I Am The King” was badass, you need to hear what LA’s own AWAL has done to it. To me, AWAL’s signature sound found within is his dark-pop flavor he adds to many of his releases: fast-paced drums, metal guitar work, and eery harmony layered, all falling at just the right time within the beat/measure to deliver an enhanced version of what the original has given us.

AWAL has handfuls of nice recognition that has come his way. He has played festivals globally, Shaq played out his track at Tomorrowland, and he’s been supported by Carnage, Chuckie, DJ BL3ND, Don Diablo, and more.

Albums | “Goodbye” Is Melvv’s Best Song To Date

Posted by on September 17, 2016

This is the hottest collaboration of the week, with ease. Melvv and MOONZz connect on their new Majestic Casual released single, “Goodbye” and it is out of this world. I’ve heard stuff by both of these artists in the past but this is easily the best work on both of their resumes. MOONZz flawless vocals float perfectly atop of the sexy future beats production via Milwaukee producer, Melvv. Check it out above!

Interviews | Bricks Break’s Down His House Roots, Timing, Future Plans & More In Exclusive Interview

Posted by on July 19, 2016

Bricks has a classic LA story but with some genuine depth to it that’s just likeable, frankly. In this FNT interview, Bricks breaks down where his house roots came from, why he makes what he does (which is fluid dark hip-hop-influenced house that totally suites 2016, check out previous posts on our site), and so much more. Read all the details here.

How would you describe your style?

Brian: I’d describe it as a collection of all the styles that have influenced me through out my life. It’s combination of House, Miami Bass and Hip Hop. I add the groove of house to the raw 808 miami bass sound, then work in some vocal chopping and analog 80’s synths, and out comes up the Bricks sound.
