Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Moska Talks Beginnings, His Future and Dishes Advice to Other New Producers
Posted by Middy on July 26, 2013
Colombian producer Moska is a name being heavily supported by some of the biggest brands in the industry. At just 19 years old, his talents are nothing to ignore. Having already released tracks on Musical Freedom, Mad Decent and Mixmash, receiving heavy support from each of the label bosses, Tiesto, Diplo and Laidback Luke, and played or been scheduled to play at some of the biggest venues worldwide, Moska has his sights at the top of the dance music echelon. His genre-blending sound allows him to cross over to so many different styles, having already collabed with Tiesto on their remix of “Century”.
He plans to move to Miami by the end of the year to move his base of operations to one of the meccas of dance music today. One issue that has held him back is visa problems, specifically the O-2 visa that holds back his ability to work in the US. The O-2 is designed for people in the entertainment industry, notably individuals new or unrecognized in the industry as per the US government. Because of this, he has to be working alongside Laidback Luke, his current sponsor and any other work would be considered a violation of his visa. So shows, studio time and any professional work has to go through Luke, which can really hinder his growth as an artist here, especially when promotors want to book him. However all of this should be resolved with by the end of the year with many fees paid, lawyers hired, letters sent to the government by Tiesto, Laidback Luke & others, and pages, upon pages of documents sent, he should be fine to go on Laidback Luke’s Fall bus tour in October.
We had the chance to talk to him about his bright future, how he got into electronic music, working with Tiesto and some advice he gave for young producers, like himself.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Devin Miles – Sundress
Posted by admin on July 25, 2013

I think most guys can agree that there isn’t much better than a hot summer’s day with plenty of beautiful women in sundresses. Devin Miles seems to share that sentiment and has released a song paying homage to the spectacle of the sundress. The sunny months may seem like they’re running short, but a song like this will make you think they lasts for eternity. Ricquo Jones plays us the soft and sweet sounds of summer while Devin’s vocals compliment so perfectly.
Don’t think too much about going back to school, having to go work, or anything really. Just sit back, grab a lemonade and let the song take you away.
Electro, Trap | Jaymes Young – What Is Love (Tim Gunter 808 Remix)
Posted by dshaq on July 23, 2013
Not many times do you get a remix of a remix that is better than the original remix. A tongue twister, yes, but a true statement as well. Tim Gunter, long time FNT favorite, delivers his newest work. Taking a song that had great meaning to him, Tim didn’t try to change the song, rather he accentuated it. Building on that great guitar riff and vocals, Tim adds heavier drums and some synth lines to give the song a more upbeat feeling all the while keeping the same serious tone. Definitely give this one a listen, I’m sure it’ll tickle your fancy.
House | Nalin & Kane – Beachball (EDX’s Indian Summer Remix)
Posted by Middy on July 15, 2013
This is another one of those tracks that you can’t really think too much about. Yes it’s true that EDX questionably produces his own tracks (get to know Chris Reece), but this remix is the sublime work we can come to the Swiss DJ for. EDX gives us the sound we have come to love from him with lush pads, unassuming percussion, a soaring female vocal sample from the original and vintage EDX chords. This “Indian Summer” remix is what you want from him, and as a free download, you have yourself a winner.

Progressive House | Kara – Dream Catcher (Massive Vibes Remix)

It takes a special type of song to lure me away from my incognito window just to watch the waveform move along but this song did just that. Massive Vibes are a duo out of Hungary who I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while now and I have always thought they had the potential to make a great song. They recently took to remix duties on Kara’s “Dream Catcher” and they did it wonderfully. They used a simple, yet catchy melody that fits perfectly alongside the excellent vocals. This is their best work yet.

Dubstep, Preview | PADU – Kings

A few weeks I came across Padu’s Soundcloud and ended up listening to almost everything he made. Padu makes some of the most incredible melodies consistently, and this new clip of his is another great example of the work that he does. “Kings” is just a clip, but I have high hopes that Padu will come through with this gem some time soon.
Hip-Hop | G-Eazy (Ft. Team Robot) – I Don’t Believe You

G-Eazy has made us all fans of his music through his catchy beats and sounds, but his latest track is a little different than most of his other work. Trying out a more trap sounding beat, G-Eazy throws some pretty good verses over this one with a great chorus. Don’t sleep on this track or G-Eazy, young Gerald will be on tour with Lil’ Wayne this summer.
