Events | Electric Zoo Announces Phase 2 Lineup
Posted by Middy on May 28, 2014
Phase 1 brought headliners like Kaskade, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Sasha and Jack U to Randall’s Island over Labor Day weekend, but now Phase 2 adds another 60 names to the mix to help fill out the increasingly stacked lineup for Electric Zoo this year. It has been well-documented the increased security measures that E Zoo will have this year, shortening the festival by two hours and adding a lot more on site law enforcement and medical personnel among others. Hopefully though, we will be able to focus on the music and not on all of the headline grabbing things that have beleaguered electronic music this time around, so be smart and read on for the lineup additions which includes names like Jamie XX, Ame, Audien, What So Not and many more. Go on grab tickets, including single day passes if you fancy one day more then the rest.

Nothing more refreshing than doing some late night crate digging, and just letting the bass bump to great finds like this remix by Mister Mack and Fortune of Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky.” If you’ve had a long weekend, and would’ve gladly taken the day off today, this one’s for you. Mister Mack and Fortune are part of the Flow Fi community, which holds a talented roster of producers, which I invite you all to check out. This is a must listen! Enjoy!
Progressive House | Sigma – Nobody To Love (Third Party Remix)
Posted by Mel on April 25, 2014
What started out as a bootleg for the hip-hop classic “Bound 2” by Kanye West turned into an official release for the production duo Sigma. That then was remixed from its drum and bass style into progressive house magic by the UK based duo Third Party. They have not released a whole lot of music recently but they continue to keep the quality of their releases high with this one.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Chanel West Coast – Own World
Posted by mimada on February 12, 2014
Chanel West Coast, whom you might recognize from MTV’s Fantasy Factory, is undeniably a grade-A bad bitch. Keeping up with her trending #WestCoastWednesday tradition, she uploaded a free download, this week titled “Own World.” It’s more laidback compared to some of her more recent stuff but I’m digging it: I imagine this as the kind of track to play when driving through the city at sunset with the windows down, feeling empowered, or on the contrary when the night is coming to an end and I’m at the after party with my whole crew kickin’ back before tapping out. Try it out and see for yourself.

Hip-Hop | Dally Auston – Westside EP
Posted by Hamtaro on February 3, 2014
Dally Auston released his West Side EP a few days back and it has us really excited for his next project Roses. The Savemoney artist has 9 songs on this EP and it is nice to hear new material from him after hearing singles like Gatsby and W$GTM. Look for Roses later this year.
Chill, Trap | Elaksi – Near Me
Posted by VMan on January 13, 2014
“Near Me” by Elaksi was introduced to me by a friend, and I love these chill trap records that have been coming out lately, and this one in particularly resonates with me. Elaksi is a 19 year old producer from Finland that has done unofficial remixes for Kanye West, Rustie, and Stwo among others, which I strongly suggest you venture through his SoundCloud. His usage of the smooth vocal sample, along with hard hitting 808 kicks and furiously fast hi-hats makes for an epic track! I look forward to hearing more from this young producer. This is a must listen!
House | Kanye West – Bound 2 (Solidisco Remix)
Posted by admin on November 28, 2013
Now that you’ve gained about 43 pounds in food weight, I think it’s about time you danced it all off. Here to help you with that is the newest remix from Solidisco for Kanye West’s, “Bound 2”. In the wake of the risqué video, Solidisco thought that a fun, bouncy remix was in order. The song focuses on the Charlie Wilson vocals and oozes with a French Touch style.
The remix is about as far from the original Yeezus sound as it gets, however, as I’m sure Kanye would agree: music is about originality. Enjoy the free offering and sleep tight.
