I was already impressed by the amount depth Sango shows in all of his work – how he utilizes a skill set that generates records with a completely unique, subtle intricacy that most artists wish they could duplicate. Now, after listening to his brand new album “Da Rocinha 2,” released just this morning, I’ve found myself legitimately struggling not to exaggerate how much I like it so I don’t overhype it for all of you.
Posted below is one of the new tracks off Rocinha 2 (Rocinha is a small farm town in Brazil – notice the Portuguese song titles) that showcases a fresh piano sample mixed with a clean 808 background, most notably with a classic Sango, full-bodied bass line; it’s been titled “Me de Amor,” which roughly translates to “I Love.” If you like it after you listen to it, and believe me, you should, then go check out the full album on Bandcamp – only $1 for 13 well-produced tracks. Doesn’t matter if you’re a rapper looking for something to dub over, or if you just want something chill to bang this weekend, go check this guy out.

We showed you the TomorrowWorld aftermovie in all of its glory earlier this month, ID&T has not been the only promotor announcing big festival news in North America, nor is it the only ID&T festival with noteworthy news. Sticking with ID&T, its oldest festival, Mysteryland has announced the details for its move to the US, taking place over Memorial day weekend in Bethel New York, on the site of the the legendary 1969 Woodstock. Tickets are now on sale, and for cheap, so get them as a last minute Christmas present.
It has been known for some time that Electric Zoo after SFX acquired Made Event, but now we know it will be coming to Mexico City on May 4th & 5th. No further details, but sign up on the website for pre-sale info. Like E Zoo, Insomniac is also expanding with the insistence guidance of its new boss, Live Nation, to Mexico City, taking place on March 15th and 16th. Tickets are on sale now. Forgot to include it originally but, Ultra announced the first phase of its lineup, bringing guys like Prydz presents Holo?!, Avicii, Above & Beyond, Diplo, MIA, Empire Of The Sun and many many more to what should be a packed weekend. In honor of his birthday this past weekend, Viceroy has given out a gift to his fans in the form of this remix. It sticks to his summertime, all the time attitude, to music adding and laidback electronic flavor to this indie original from Strange Talk. It may be getting cold outside in the Northern Hemisphere, but that does not mean the tunes have to reflect the falling temperatures.

Last week, Dr. Fresch released 2 tracks off his EP “Dreamin” and “Float,” and yesterday the California native released his full 4 track EP for free, including “What You Need” and “Amelie.” If I had to describe Fresch’ sound it’d be contemporary disco with hints of deep-house, in other words sexy shit.
