Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Wale – The Eleven One Eleven Theory [MIXTAPE]
Posted by BIGLIFE on August 17, 2011
Wale exceeded my expectations with this project. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the DMV, I was introduced to Wale at an early age and, of course, was surrounded by fellow fans. When I went off to different areas I realized his music wasn’t as well received as I had previously thought. In a way, Wale was stuck somewhere between a C and B list artist. Now that he’s signed to the hotter than ever Maybach Music group, I think he’ll be able to solidify his B position. As I mentioned above, The Eleven One Eleven Theory is an impressive project that our fans should dig; it’s packed with catchy samples and fresh bars. If you like Wiz, chances are, you’ll feel this. Below are my favorite cuts, let us know what you think in the comments section!

Single off Jeezy’s next album, “TM103,” it’s got that classic Jeezy vibe to it.

Hip-Hop | DJ Khaled ft Ace Hood, Meek Mill, Wale, Vado, & Big Sean – Future

Just another hit from the most annoying DJ out. Features a few of the future leaders of the hip hop game, so glad they put Ace Hood on this; still not sure about Big Sean but his verse is something else.
Bitch I’m the rap game stylist, cause I gave the rap game style bitch

Last week we brought you a preview to this track. Finally here is the final version, produced the man himself, J. Cole. This will appear on Wale’s debut album with Maybach Music Group, titled Ambition.

Hip-Hop | Wale ft. Big Sean & B.o.B, Chevy Woods ft. Wiz Khalifa | Hip-Hop

This is a pretty dope collaboration. I’m not putting down Wale’s but I definitely think that this track gets better as it goes on, being that Big Sean’s verse is 2nd and Bobby Ray’s is 3rd. So if you’re not feeling Wale’s verse off the bat hang in there for a another minute. Big Sean tweeted that this was an unofficial verse from him, which explains the recycled lyrics.

A couple Taylor Gang boys team up to bring a dope track produced by Big Jerm. If you’re unfamiliar with Chevy Woods than you may be turned off by this track at first, but give it a second listen.

Meek Mill is continuing to prove that he earned that spot on XXL’s Freshmen Class this past year. His flow on this freestyle is on point as always.

Hip-Hop | J. Cole Update, Drake, & Los | Hip-Hop

Judging by the video above, it seems like we’re gonna be hearing a lot from Cole in the near future. Not only is he releasing an album September 29th, but he plans on releasing a mixtape before that too. Don’t hang your hat on that though, after all his album was supposed to be out this past spring. Speaking of Roc Nation, Kanye and Jay-Z released the album art as well as a definite tracklist for their up coming collaboration album, Watch the Throne, check it out here. Below is a quick preview for Wale’s premier single off his upcoming album, featuring J. Cole.
Los is a lyricist that we’ve severely over look. If you have yet to check him out, make sure you do so.

This song is strictly for die- hard Drizzy fans. 8 years ago when every rapper made references to Tony Montana and Scarface, this song may have been popular. I’m not sure why Drake would hop on a song like this, but for those of you interested his verse starts at 1:45.

Hip-Hop | Moufy, Trae Tha Truth ft. Lupe, Wiz Khalifa, Wale | Hip-Hop

Here are some really power visuals to a track that was off Moufy’s FNT hosted mixtape, City Dreamin’. The video for Miss Newton is almost as powerful as the song itself (which is over J. Cole’s Losing My Balence). Directed by Austin Steele, the video was done very professionally, and doesn’t even feature Moufy himself. Instead the video tells the story of Miss Newton with actors. It’s nice to see a rapper that doesn’t need the complete spotlight.
