Dubstep | Kimbra – Settle Down (TYR & Rodway Remix)

Posted by on May 15, 2012

This has to be one of my favorite remixes right now. It is a submission into Warner Bros. Records Inc. remix competition, which is part of Kimbra’s upcoming album, ‘Vows.’ Kimbra, made extremely famous being featured in Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Use To Know,’ has an incredible voice. She has the indie stye to her voice, with the power to achieve world peace in it. One of the most important factors to this remix is that TYR & Rodway made sure there was still a lot of emphasis put on her vocals. The remix seems simple, yet it is a work of art at the same time. An incredible job done by the two, I really hope they win the competition.

Dubstep | Kleerup & Lykke Li – Until We Bleed (PatrickReza Remix)

Posted by on March 8, 2012

Unbelievable melodic dubstep remix from PatrickReza. Lykke Li is one of my absolute favorite vocalist to have remixed into dubstep, everything her voice is on turns to gold. ‘Until We Bleed’ is a great original and a favorite of mine, PatrickReza made is 10 times better. Maintaing the great vocals, he added a smooth bass-line to carry out the track into worlds not yet known to our ears. Once arrived into the bliss of bass, you hit that repeat button. This remix is one of many off of PatrickReza’s upcoming remix mixtape, ‘Mind The Step.’

Hip-Hop | G-Eazy – Marilyn (ft. Dominique LeJeune)

Posted by on February 21, 2012

G-Eazy goes with all original production on this nice laid back track. Recruiting a good voice for the hook, G throws some nice bars on this one. This is more of an emotional side that we haven’t really seen from Gerald, but still delivers nonetheless. Hit G up on Facebook and Twitter and check back for more.

DO SOMETHING

Hip-Hop | Yelawolf – Animal (Prod. by Diplo & Borgore)

Posted by on November 23, 2011

Damn, this is quite the track. Yelawolf should have Diplo and Borgore produce beats for him more often, his voice sounds great over the work they did. This song is so catchy, and Yelawolf just kills it on the mic. If he keeps progressing the way he has been over the past year, he will be a force to recon with.

Albums, Hip-Hop | Frank Ocean – Back

Posted by on November 3, 2011

With every new Frank Ocean song that comes out it still amazes me that he runs with the Wolf Gang. He makes R&B, for me at least, enjoyable. His voice is unbelievable and comes out with catchy song after catchy song. Make sure you grab this and watch out for his new stuff to come out.

Electro | DJs From Mars Ft. Fragma – Insane In Da Brain

Posted by on October 13, 2011

DJs From Mars have seriously stepped up their game over the past 6 months. This official video has a lot of production work in it, it is directed by Francesco Fracchioni, 2D character design by Andrea Boscolo, and the video edit was done by Alex Bufalo. The video itself is a little funny the way they knock off some of the more famous videos we know, but the track is something else. This is some sick dance music, Fragma has quite an incredible voice to add.

UPDATE: Last night DJs From Mars were kind enough to shoot over a collection of their favorite Insane In Da Brain Remixes along with a dope self-bootleg that they did. Check out the tracks below:

Events | FNT Presents Tiesto: AMHERST, MA

Posted by on September 23, 2011

Biglife and I are finally recovering from our Tiesto shows earlier this week, and for those of you who missed out, check out the video above for a recap.

Here is what Tiesto’s team had to say about our first stop:

Ok so I must admit that this Amherst show threw me off my game… in a great way! Instead of capturing as much amazing footage as I’ve been getting in the nights prior to this I fell into an amazing abyss of FOMO (fear of missing out). I just had to join the crowd and dance or I just would have felt left out. The energy in the air was beyond electric! Each instance of my attempting to carry out my duties was thwarted by glowing grins and an ever-present voice in my head encouraging me to join in their exploits on the main floor. It’s hard to hold a camera when you’re jumping up and down amongst four thousand other like-minded individuals going maximal crazy. My voice isn’t the only thing I lost. I’m pretty sure (like the rest of the crowd) that I lost my mind.
