Electronic, Trap | Bel Heir – Kiss The Devil (Just A Gent Remix)
Posted by BP on March 4, 2014

Just A Gent has dropped another “lovetrap” track for us today! The Australian gent remixed Bel Heir’s “Kiss The Devil” into a melodic masterpiece. I’m loving the progression of the “lovetrap” genre lately. Emotions are strong in the vocals and chord progressions. The trap drums and chopped up synths make it still fast paced and fun to listen to. Scoop your copy for free on Facebook.

Progressive House | Lana Del Rey – Born To Die (The Two Friends Remix)

If there is one thing that is lacking in the world of progressive house music, it would be Lana Del Rey remixes. You just don’t come across one too often. Have you ever heard a remix of “Born To Die”? I highly doubt so because there are like none. The Two Friends saw this vacancy in the market and filled it sensually with their very own remix. Guys, you know how sometimes you put stuff in other stuff but it seems kinda weird cause that’s where stuff also comes out of? That is essentially what Matt and Eli did with what was almost an official remix. It has a similar feel to many of their previous tracks in that it puts the vocals on display with a soft instrumental and then turns it up for the build and drop. This is the song many of their fans have been waiting for so if you happen to be one of them, enjoy.

Chill, Electronic, Trap | Amp Live – Closer to the Sun (Colorado Dreamin’)

Coming at you from the 5-1-0 (Oakland), star producer Amp Live, also 1/2 of the hit Bay Area rap group Zion I, has just released another track under his solo alias, bringing you probably some of the chillest vibes you’ll hear all day. Featuring smooth acoustic guitar, clean wobbles, and fresh vocals from The ReMINDers, Timeline, & Sloppy Joe, “Closer to the Sun” delivers a unique sound that showcases Amp‘s wealth of potential to grow outside of his involvement with Zion I and flourish as an individual. After you hit play, don’t forget to give him a like or a follow on one of his social media outlets – definitely worth it.

Chill, Electronic | The Weeknd – Wanderlust (Snakehips Remix)

I have literally been obsessed with this remix for the past 24 hours. Literally. And I don’t mean the figurative type of literal that sorority girls use (e.g. – “Oh my gosh, I am literally dying right now.”) – I mean that I have been bumping this track non-stop for the past day, praying it doesn’t get old too quickly.
Throwing down a funked-out version of The Weeknd’s “Wanderlust,” the UK-based homies Snakehips will have you on your feet as soon as the vocals fade in, making it a prime addition to your party playlist. By far my principle nominee for the track of the week, turn this one up loud. Literally.

Progressive House | Galantis – You
Posted by Mel on February 28, 2014
For those unaware, Galantis is a recently formed Swedish duo made up of Christian Karlsson of the indie pop band Miike Snow and Linus Eklow, better known as Style Of Eye. The duo’s second original together, “You”, is really something else. The vocals are unique and clearly stand out as the forefront of the track. That is not to say the production is lacking however, as its lightness during the build goes perfectly with the high energy drop. Everything in this song just fits together so well.

Albums, Trance | Markus Schulz – Scream 2 (Album Review)
Posted by Middy on February 27, 2014
Somehow, in between the marathon sets, constant travel and acting as a label head, Markus Schulz has found the time to release the follow up artist album, his fifth, to his 2012 effort, “Scream“. The DJ and the producer go hand and hand for Markus Schulz as what he makes has to be ready for a set that could last up to 12 hours, something he does more often than most. This album, like “Scream” delves into the more melodic side of his sound, but injects bigger and trancier melodies than the first edition. Stream the songs from album in a special episode of Global DJ Broadcast below, grab the CD, and watch the 25 minute behind the scenes documentary that goes into how the album was made, the stress of deadline day and details on the various collabs.
Progressive House | Chris Avantgarde feat. Joel Edwards – Rise Up

Next up on Chris Avantgarde’s series of free releases is “Rise Up”, a vocal progressive house song with Joel Edwards. Each of the tracks he has given away so far has been in a different style as the previous, but for this one he is giving us an older song he made back at his old studio in Germany. It has the same feel good sound as his previous original “Colours” and just may be his best track yet.
