Dubstep | T-Mass – The One Feat. Mona Moua
Posted by BP on May 27, 2014
Lately it has been such a struggle to find good dubstep. I’ve posted a few compilations featuring T-Mass, but this is his first solo debut on FNT. “The One Feat. Mona Moua” by the San Francisco based producer is a melodic dubstep track that I stumbled upon earlier today and kept coming back to. The vocals are beautiful and float smoothly over the growls and smooth bass drops. The atmosphere is powerful and dream-like. It’s out for free download so I thought I would pass it along to all the dubstep lovers out there.

Exclusive, Featured, House | FNT Premiere: Walker Lukens – The Night I Was Kissed By Patti Smith (Mike Z remix)
Posted by Middy on May 26, 2014
It’s a holiday (thank you troops), so we are hear to celebrate with not one, but two premieres. This time we have the Mike Z remix for NPR tipped Walker Lukens new tune “The Night I Was Kissed By Patti Smith” (That is quite a mouthful). If you had a long festival weekend (like me) and are hurting bad, then this is for you. It is very chill, relying on a simple, yet addictive guitar melody, with soft, soothing drums underneath that work side by side with the vocals from Mr. Lukens.
Shout-out to the homie with rocking to the FNT pinnie yesterday at EDC NY. We always love to see you guys showing support, it means a lot.

Progressive House | Max Elto – Shadow Of The Sun (Mako Remix)
Posted by Mel on May 26, 2014
When I posted the original club mix of this song back in December, I was extremely fond it. It was my favorite song for quite some time and still to this day do I think it is one of the most under-appreciated progressive house tracks. Mako is a duo who has done big things last year and have more big things coming this year, most notably a collaboration with Steve Angello, so if there were a pair of producers I could trust to remix this it would be my all time favorite dudes and my tight, tight bros, The Chainsmokers. Mako are also two guys who are capable of doing justice to the original and they did with their remix. The song starts off well with the vocals being placed at the forefront, but as soon as the synth build comes in you’ll fall in love. Support the guys by purchasing it on Beatport and get ready for the inevitable release of “Children Of The Wild”, their song with Steve Angello.
Dubstep, Electro | Fox Stevenson – All This Time EP
Posted by Middy on May 26, 2014
Internet sensation Fox Stevenson has released his much anticipated EP “All This Time”. The singer / songwriter / producer does it all, making the beats that range from drum n bass to cheery, melodic electro to dub and then writes and sings the slight angsty vocals on the tunes. The four track brings a lot of variety and shows a rare talent that sings and produces his own music in the dance realm. Make sure you pay special attention to “Out There”.

Progressive House | Tritonal & Paris Blohm – Colors (Leeo & Cignature Remix)
Posted by Middy on May 24, 2014
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you all. If you are heading out to EDC NY, hit me up and we can go shuffle at the Hard Stage. Before you do that though, I’ve got another huge remix from the dude Cignature. We first introduced you to him with his remix of Muse “Starlight” and you all were clamoring for more, so here is his remix alongside 17 year old Swedish producer Leeo for Tritonal & Paris Blohm’s smash single “Colors”. I am a huge fan of the original, but they may have gone even bigger and better with this one, keeping the soaring vocals from Sterling Fox and then adding their own anthemic melody to breath new life into the tune. It is a free download, so make sure you grab it now.

Progressive House | Michael Jackson – Love Never Felt So Good (Fedde Le Grand remix)
Posted by Mel on May 19, 2014
Today is the day that Fedde Le Grand’s remix for “Love Never Felt So Good”, the lead single off MJ’s recently released album is out and it is, perhaps surprisingly, pretty good. The chorus is the only part of the vocals retained and has been paired with an anthemic piano, strings and drop. The Youtube comments are not overly positive towards this remix, with their main criticism being, at least from what I can gather, that it sucks. The Soundcloud comments are more positive however, so it seems like you’ll either love this song or hate it. Thinking it is just okay is also a possibility. Whatever your opinion may be of this track, an official progressive house remix of Michael Jackson is clearly an attempt to make him popular with the younger generation and that can only be a good thing right? Probably.
