After a long wait, the up and comer, Tayyib Ali, has finally dropped his Keystone State of Mind mixtape. Before his show in Philly last Thursday I got the chance to talk with him for a few minutes. He seems really proud of his work and excited to get it out to the public. With this project I think that he’s really put his foot down and claimed his flow. There are a few bangers on the mixtape, but Tayyib’s best tracks have that chill, laid-back, summer vibe to them. This is definitely a mixtape that you shouldn’t pass up on…

I knew it wouldn’t take long before a song in celebration of 4/20 fell into my lap. The trippy chill sounds that Felix Beats uses for the production of this leak are perfectly in line with this national holiday’s vibe. Combine that with Kam’s mellow flow and you’ve got yourself a nice little smokers anthem, which, mind you, is aptly titled “Mary Jane”.

Remixing a Avril Lavigne song is definitely a bold move and you know what Trey absolutely kills it with this. Big ups to him for bringing a unique vibe to my speakers. Do yourself a favor and give this upbeat chill track a preview at the very least. Follow him on FB here.

Skrillex is really tossing out some tracks right now. His Reptile theme is dropping tomorrow and he just dropped this sick reggae vibe dub. This track is FIRE. No doubt Skrillex is living up to his nickname right now, “Prince of Dubstep.”

When I stumbled upon Dancecome Project, I was immediatedly impressed by this duo’s talent for infusing a dance floor vibe into mainstream pop bangers. I wasn’t able to find much about these guys from their website because it was written in German, but I did manage to find a few more heaters on their facebook.

I posted a track of Aer’s about a week back. As I said before they bring a nice reggae vibe to the hip-hop scene. They dropped this video a few days ago, given the production isn’t up to par of artist like Mike Posner (unless your watching “Bow Chica Wow Wow”). This is still a great track, these guys deserve big respect on it.

I am never disappointed by what Zion I releases. The verses on this track are FIRE and I’m really feeling this beat.
