Rusko’s new dance anthem Somebody to Love has been a highly anticipated release every since he previewed it last year. I for one am a fan of Ruskos new approach on dubstep, but fans of his older style feel otherwise. The intro melody in this track grasps at the listener right away, which is why I can’t stop listening to it. Then we get into the Rusko styled, energy filled bass drop that does not disappoint. The Sigma remix on the other hand takes a different approach than the original, being a drum & bass track. The fast pace incorporates a new element into the track, almost adding a more serene and relaxing feel. Rusko’s full length album titled “Songs” is set to release in the US on March 27th so mark your calendars. Be sure to grab this single on BEATPORT.

Paper Diamond released his latest single from his upcoming EP “Paragon” set to release in 2012 yesterday and it is fantastic. As described by Paper Diamond it is a “hip-hop tempo banger, with glitchy rhythms and buildups that crash down into melodic bleeps and bloops. It’s a fun listen that is simultaneously unexpectedly poignant, somehow employing those beats to call forth an emotion that you’d completely forgotten you could experience.” He is on a Winter Tour of the US now and is doing a whole bunch of shows in January and February, so don’t miss out on this opportunity. Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ masterpiece We Found Love has taken the charts by storm and currently stands as the number one single in the US. Therefore it comes as no surprise that we have been bombarded by a slew of remixes to this pop/electro crossover track. I have found a few impressive electro remixes, but this dubstep remix from Jakers is definitely something special.

I hate to post Armin so much, but this song is too good not to be posted. This is a remix from Armin van Buuren off of the second CD on Universal Religion 5 that was not released in the US. It is another vocal trance mix that has Armin’s signature sound that is just amazing.

This pair of Russian trios are not stopping their rise to prominence in EDM with countless singles and remixes made together and separately this year alone. Next year has the potential to be even bigger for these guys and it should be a pleasure to watch. Phantom has a big room feel with electro synths and a heavy drum progression, that will certainly send this one up the charts. Still not available on beatport in the US but it will be soon.
