House, Videos | Zedd performs “Clarity” live on the David Letterman Show
Posted by Middy on January 4, 2013
A spot usually reserved for anyone but a Dj, Zedd made his US network television debut last night on the David Letterman show, performing “Clarity” live. Zedd displayed his talents on the piano, showing us his versatility as a musician, Foxes gives a B effort on vocals, some live great strings and most importantly Alvin Risk on backup vocals killing it in that scarf that Letterman wanted at the end. This just shows the power of having a major label (Interscope) behind you and the doors they can open for any artist.
Albums, Contests, Featured, Review | Sensation Innerspace New York 2012 Mixed by Fedde Le Grand
Posted by Middy on November 8, 2012
Fedde Le Grand fresh off of his performance at the first Sensation on US soil (there will be more), has put together the mix compilation for the event to help you relive those timeless memories of the best all night concert in the world. It is a two part mix CD that takes you on a journey of sound and style, much like the journey you experience at Sensation. The first CD leans more to the electro / progressive realm, utilizing lesser known tracks to keep the idea that the experience of the Sensation comes first and the DJ is secondary, including several from Fedde himself, Chris Lake & Lazy Rich “Stand Alone”, “Toxic Rush”, “Tombo” and others. The second CD gives the official ID&T package with a more clubby, techy sound that you would have heard at the night itself. Seemless transitions from one track to the next makes the 75 minutes on each CD fly by very quickly. After the jump are the tracklists and the sets from the both nights with their respective tracklists.
We are giving away two physical copies of the CD that cannot be bought in the US, so this is an opportunity that you do not want to pass up on. This is only open to residents of the United States unfortunately, but if you live here, you will want to get this CD you can’t are not able to purchase.

Events, Review | Nero, Adventure Club & Fareoh @ Hammerstein Ballroom 10/27
Posted by Middy on October 31, 2012
On Saturday when the dance music community was fawning over the fact that Sensation was on the second night of its US debut (some of them would later show up at this concert) Nero, Adventure Club, Fareoh and Alex English were putting on a clinic at Hammerstein Ballroom. While there were some issues with the sound in that the bass all came from the floor speakers and the mids and highs came from the hanging speakers, the overall production and atmosphere was great. Alex English started off the night with a good, energetic warm up set as the crowd slowly started to file in. Fareoh followed him up with a big room set mixing in his own remixes and originals with some well crafted bootlegs. Read on to see how the rest of the night went and the full photo album is on Facebook.
Hip-Hop | Mod Sun – Stoner Girl [Music Video] | Us (Prod. Cory Grindberg)
Posted by LoffyG on September 12, 2012
Earlier this week Mod Sun, the hippy of hip-hop, dropped some awesome visuals for his song “Stoner Girl” off the Happy As Fu*k EP! Just today Mod Sun also dropped a new song called “Us” that will be featured on a project called Flood Watch, which showcases the most talented a prominent artists in Minnesota. Mod is someone to keep a close eye on because not only does he makes great, happy, positive music – he’s a genuinely great person on top of it. I think that definitely plays a large role in why he’s reached the level he has. Follow the hippie on Facebook & Twitter.
Dubstep | Benga – Icon / I Will Never Change (Pixel Fist Remix)
Posted by Sev on June 24, 2012
Benga unleashing his latest single today entitled Icon, alongside a remix of his unique styled track I Will Never Change that has finally hit the iTunes shelves. Kind of following the theme of I Will Never Change and sticking to his roots, Benga provides us with another old-school styled dubstep track that we would have expected from him a few years back. Not giving into this new heavier style of dubstep which has emerged over the past year and taken over the scene, but keeping it tasteful with a hint of UK garage splattered throughout the track. On the other hand, alongside his single he decided it was time for the world to get a taste of Pixel Fist’s remix to I Will Never Change, which takes the mellow track and cranks up the filth to destroy crowds wherever it is heard. After previewing it a few months ago there had been some anticipation building up as to when this remix would be released, so it was nice to see Benga being mindful about how long it took for the remix to come out. Unfortunately you can only purchase his single on the UK iTunes right now, but it should be available in the US sometime this week. So if you can, grab it off of the UK iTunes HERE.

Events | Identity Festival 2012 Summer Tour Announcement
Posted by Middy on April 24, 2012
Of ALL of the US festival announcements this summer this may be the best one. Identity Festival last year was a blast hitting 30 cities in close to as many days tearing up the US from coast to coast with some of the best Djs from around the world, most notably Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Avicii, Nero, Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Chuckie, Nervo and more. This year the festival is back on a somewhat smaller circuit of 15 cities, maybe to keep the artsts on the whole way, we will not know until we see each dates lineup, but hitting many of the major cities on both coasts and in the center of the US, though there will be some people left out. However just look at this lineup, Arty, Hardwell, Noisia, Wolfgang Gartner, Paul van Dyk, Madeon, Porter Robinson, and HOLY SH*T ERIC PRYDZ and more. Eric Prydz has been over here as recently as 2007, but he has not been here since the explosion of EDM into the mainstream conscience of the American listeners so I anticipate it will be a totally different experience for him and the viewers particularly with his new triple album coming out of May 21st. Tickets are on sale NOW, so get them while the last for the dirt cheap pirce of $25, and then it is $40, which is still great compared to the outrageously priced festivals all across the US. Ticket link below and tour dates and full lineup after the jump.
