Hip-Hop | Raz Simone – So Far, So Far

Raz Simone right now is one of my favorite up and coming rappers, and is getting closer and closer to super stardom if you ask me, all he needs is that one hit to take him there, but “So Far, So Far,” off his Cognitive Dissonance project, def gets him closer to that status. Released with the announcement of his upcoming 52 city tour, along Strange Music’s Rittz, and Taylor Gang’s Tuki Carter. I like Raz cause he has that gangster flow, and yet keeps it soulful, and earthy, on that real no gimmicks ish. This is a must listen!

Dubstep, Electro | Nero – Satisfy

Posted by on May 15, 2014

nero - satisfyIt has been too long since we have heard from you Nero. Oh how I have missed the controlled aggression that simply sounds like nobody else’s handiwork. Their ability to combine female vocals, orchestral arrangements and a thunderous dark bass line makes them among dubstep’s elite. “Satisfy” is the first we have heard from them in a long time and bodes well for their upcoming album set for release later this year.

Porter Robinson - Sad Machine

“Sad Machine”, Porter Robinson’s follow up to “Sea Of Voices” is even grander than his previous release and maybe even the Skrillex remix of “Levels”. The song is absolute gold and will provide you with yet another reason as to why you should be excited for his upcoming album. Pre-order his album “Worlds”, set for release August 12th here.

Take a good hard look at that lineup and try to find a reason why you should not attend the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago this upcoming Labor Day weekend. It may seem a long ways away and something you could put off on getting tickets for, but with a lineup like this, you’re going to want to buy tickets ASAP Rocky. Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, the lineup features the legendary Snoop Doggy Dog, Kid Cudi, Cashmere Cat, What So Not, and even the man himself JODY HIGHROLLER, to name a few. After witnessing it for myself last year, it only has me craving more and more. Think about it, but not for too long because this this thing will sell out, I promise. Holler at the ticket link below and prepare yourselves for a wild weekend with amazing music.

The talented Njomza returns with a brand new track “Explore You” along with a music video,   in which she takes us to Hippyville, USA with a Woodstock-themed video. If this is your first time hearing of Njomza, she has an upcoming album in the works o on Mac Miller’s label REMember, along with projects with Vic Mensa and Rockie Fresh, and quite frankly, I’m excited for all of that! Blending reggae riddims and soulful vocals over jazz composition makes for the perfect vibes! This is by far a must listen!
