Chill, Trap | OZZIE – MARBLE FLOORS
Posted by BP on April 8, 2014
If you’re looking for some trap that is a little different, try “Marble Floors” by Ozzie. I’ve always been a big fan of Ozzie’s chill sound, and this track is yet another example of his creativity. Since I am just returning to writing for FNT from my spring break adventure in London, it’s only fitting that I show some support for this UK artist. This track is mellow with an underlying trap vibe. With altered vocals and lots of interesting sub melodies, this song will keep you intrigued listen after listen.

Dubstep | Chelsea Wolfe – Feral Love (Collin McLoughlin Game Of Thrones Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on April 8, 2014
Collin McLoughlin always delivers. Today is no exception, with his new Chelsea Wolfe “Feral Love (Game Of Thrones Remix)” that just hit the interwebs this morning. Pulling the haunting and ominous original into a more euphoric and almost hip hop influenced direction McLoughlin has once again brought his signature bass swells, smooth plucks and ambient sound to the table, this time creating a unique blend of trance, melodic dub step and even trap into a new sonic fixture. Re-sung by the extremely talented Mona Moua, Collin’s new remix is nothing short of awesome. Dubbed “Lannister-Step” it seems that winter has finally come in the form of this awesome “Game Of Thrones” remix.
Hip-Hop, Mashups, Trap | The Hood Internet – Higher Greens (Schoolboy Q x Just Blaze & Baauer)
Posted by Grubeats on April 6, 2014
I get it, a lot of people hate mashups. They’re effortless tracks made by elementary “DJ’s”. Sure, some are garbage, but for me, when I hear a mashup that works, I can’t get enough of it. It could be the simplest combination, but sometimes the “art” of mashup’s are all about finding the right fit. The Hood Internet continually impresses with their work and their newest masterpiece, “Higher Greens” is the perfect fusion of rap and trap. So, if you’re a mashup hater, feel free to keep hating, but this track KNOCKS.

Chill, Trap | NoVista – Lights (Ft. Ana Criado)

If you haven’t heard of 18 year old Canadian producer NoVista yet – listen up! This remix is incredibly well made. His sound reminds me of Hucci, one of my personal favorites. This track features trap beats and beautiful vocals. The notes creating the airy melody are bouncy and fun. I was impressed with this up and coming producer and I think you will be too. Trap | Aloe Blacc – The Man (Clinton Sparks Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on March 20, 2014
Clinton Sparks has been quietly lately, but that doesn’t mean he’s not working hard. He’s been busy touring and prepping his forthcoming “Disco Ball & Chain” EP that’s rumored to have names on it like Snoop Dogg, 2-Chainz, T-Pain. Releasing on Island Def Jam / Photo Finish, “Disco Ball & Chain” is a project we can’t wait to hear. This afternoon, Clinton put his trap spin on Aloe Blacc’s The Man” to tide fans over until the big drop date. And yes, that’ s a young Clinton Sparks in his gentleman’s jacket looking like he’s about to deliver the news. As always, GET FAMILIAR!
Abstract Hip-Hop, Trap | Love Me X The ClubCasa Chamber Orchestra (SuGar Edition)
Posted by mimada on March 19, 2014
Alright so I’ve got 17 minutes on my self-timer before my computer goes into lockdown and I’m forced to start writing my 10-page midterm essay, so I gotta make this brief. Just moments earlier I was tipped off about this French producer SuGar and upon listening just to his most recent upload, I was compelled to expose this hidden gem. This track is a bit of a remix inception so ima break it down for you here. It all started with Lil Wayne’s “Love Me” feat. Drake & Future, which was then adapted (almost the point of being unrecognizable!) by sly5thave, a Brooklyn jazz musician and producer (who has some incredible other jazz covers worth checking out), which also features The ClubCasa, a Brooklyn-based music collective. Then finally, SuGar got ahold of that, spun a little trap on that ish and sprinkled it with some Bun B “Draped Up” rhymes and voilà! You’ve got this dirty south, brassy trap joint that’s simply one of a kind. And I’ve got another 5 minutes left on my timer, just enough to hit replay. Enjoy ~
