Progressive House | Wynter Gordon – Still Getting Younger (Remixes)

Posted by on May 14, 2012

Wynter Gordon has been on fire recently, absolutely smashing the lyrics to Tommy Trash and Steve Aoki’s “Ladi Dadi” and Laidback Luke’s recent hit “Speak Up”. This release, Still Getting Younger, features some great remixes from Steve Angello sponsored Third Party, eSquire (who has been wrecking the Progressive House scene), and Belocca. The Third Party remix brings out their unique sound (massive building synth work and perfect festival music). My personal favorite is the eSquire remix, who utilizes the perfect mix of melodies to create that house beat which gives you goosebumps. The Belocca remix is a great house take on the original. Grab the full release on BEATPORT. The Beatport version also features Dub remixes from Third Party and Belocca.

Dubstep, Progressive House | Julian Jordan — Oxford Preview, Rock Steady, and Banner Remix

Posted by on April 21, 2012

Julian Jordan, sixteen year old Dutch producer now signed to Spinnin’ Records, has been slowly building a reputation in house music. Creating some intricate progressive masterpieces that wouldn’t be expected from such a young, up and coming producer. Oxford is a collaboration between Julian Jordan and TV Noise set to release on May 14th through Spinnin’. This track has a great build up with a crazy Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash styled drop. I’m mad we missed the release of his first track on Spinnin’ Records about a month ago, but as long as we have it up now is all that matters. Expect nothing less than a great build up and progressions with this amazing progressive house piece. You can buy the track buy clicking buy on the Soundcloud player below.

DJ-Set, Electro-House | Nicky Romero – Toulouse (Remixes)

Posted by on March 28, 2012

What better way to start the first hour of the first day of Ultra than to have a set from Nicky Romero and to have him premier his new ID, which will be his first song on his label. The track is heavy so be ready.
Here are the the remixes for Nicky Romero’s massive hit “Toulouse”, a city that has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. The good people here are tough and will come out stronger than ever. We look forward to his show on the 5th. The Tommy Trash remix keeps much of the original track with the build remaining largely the same and then in the drop Tommy Trash adds his own flavor, stripping away the driving synths and adding his own percussive elements to it, perfect for the festival environment. Chocolate Puma keeps much of the original song as well because it was so good, but makes the build a little softer with some additional percussive elements and an added kick and a shaker sound to the drop. The original is a classic, but these two are still quite good, with Tommy Trash doing the best work on this massive track. His collaboration with David Guetta “Metropolis” will be released on Monday, April 2nd. After the jump is a superb half hour mix Nicky Romero made for Sirius XM during his time down in Miami during WMC with unreleased tracks “Nicktim” and the aforementioned “Metropolis”.

Electro-House | Steve Aoki ft. Wynter Gordon – Ladi Dadi (Tommy Trash Remix)

Posted by on January 31, 2012

Starting off 2012 hot with his remix of Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party’s massive collaboration “Antidote”, as well his highly successful single “Cascade”, Tommy Trash now delivers another another remix of one of Steve Aoki’s singles featuring Wynter Gordan off of his recently released album “Wonderland“. Tommy Trash takes this song and adds his typical grungy electro house style to it that has become so popular with fans and other artists alike. He does keep much of the original structure and song in tact, but gives it more teeth for a more club friendly feel. Expect to hear this being supported out by many established Djs. Tommy Trash is touring North America now for the first time ever and will be at UMF so get your tickets. He broke his ankle recently and will still be doing shows soon, so you have no excuse not to see this crazy Australian. Get this and the other remixes on BEATPORT.

Electro-House | Tommy Trash – Sex, Drugs, Rock N Roll

Posted by on January 9, 2012

Tommy Trash dropped this club fueled electro-house heater earlier today off of Mixmash Records. I believe the title of the track reflects greatly, the sort of lifestyle that Tommy Trash continues to enjoy day in and day out. You can grab the track on Beatport.
