Electro-House, Videos | Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Tommy Trash Re-Edit) [Music Video]
Posted by Middy on April 19, 2013
Tommy Trash has cooled off a little to start 2013 in terms of releases after the torrent of remixes and originals that we saw in 2012, cementing himself as one of the fastest rising names in dance music. This may be for the best, since it gives people a chance to fully digest his sound and then get ready for the next wave of Tommy Trash releases that includes “Monkey In Love” on Steve Angello’s Size Records and the vocal mix of “Reload”, set to release May 14th.
The video for his grungy re-edit of “Monkey See Monkey Do”, follows a stuffed monkey crushing the dance floor at Liv in Miami and then on his outer-space adventures in a makeshift UFO as he listens to “Monkey See Monkey Do”. Is the monkey a reference to how everyone gets trashed to Tommy Trash music? I don’t know, but this guy is soaring. Grab the original plus the remixes below on Beatport.

House | A-Trak – Tuna Melt EP
Posted by Middy on December 4, 2012
A-Trak is known as one of the best DJs in the world and will wow you with his incredible live sets that take on the same eclectic characteristics of his own productions. The man is very busy not only as head of Fools Gold, but also with a Duck Sauce album on the way at the beginning of next year, his solo work that are on display here in this 4 track EP, all on top of his incessant touring schedule. The EP covers all sorts of ground from the grungy, choppy title track with Tommy Trash, “Tuna Melt”, to the bouncy, trap infused “Landline” with GTA, the aptly named “Jumbo” with Galantis and the glitchy, nu-disco “Disco Nap” with Oliver.

House | Kaskade vs. Tommy Trash/Tommy Trash & Sebastian Ingrosso – Empty Streets Cascade & Eyes Reloaded (Kaskade Mashups)
Posted by Spice on November 19, 2012
Pardon the intense looking title. Mondays always bring great new original mashups from Kaskade, and today we’ve got two that are total fire — one’s a freebie, one’s streaming only, but both are absolutely awesome (happily, however, my favorite of the two is the one that’s downloadable). Kaskade’s a master of his craft and Tommy Trash and Sebastian Ingrosso aren’t exactly slouches either, so consider these autodownloads (where applicable, anyway). Turn on and tune in on this mashup Monday.
Events, Review | Pier Of Fear: The Haunted House Tour Takes Over NYC
Posted by Middy on November 7, 2012
Despite being still 5 days away, on Friday October 26th Halloween was in full swing at Pier 94 as the Haunted House Tour made its first stop in its trek across the country in New York City, bringing along a cast that included, Knife Party, Tommy Trash, Style of Eye and others. The sold out pier which has seen the likes of Avicii, Arty and others was rocking all night long with top of the line visuals consisting of an outstanding laser and light display. While it is true that Pier 94’s ventilation system is pretty awful and it becomes a sweat box, despite the size of the venue, the night overall one to remember with some great performances across the board.
Destructo, who’s day job is the head of Hard, the main event organizer of the night, started off the night with a set that mixed together a whole host of different genres getting the night started as the crowd was quickly starting to file in. Fast riser on the scene and hometown kid, Baauer, followed up Destructo with his hip hop infused electronic beats that got the party started with a bouncy mix of trap, electro and hip hop. Next up came Style Of Eye, who delivered my favorite set only to Tommy Trash.
Electro-House | Tommy Trash – Truffle Pig
Posted by Middy on November 7, 2012
Tommy Trash has been criticized for not switiching up his sound enough, even though he has created a niche for himself and has flourished within his high energy, headbanging style. As you would expect with a Fool’s Gold release this track breaks out of his previous mold, and brings a more eclectic clubby vibe to the track, while still keeping the grungy charm we expect from a Tommy Trash track.

Electro-House | The Aston Shuffle Vs. Tommy Trash – Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost) Tommy Trash Version
Posted by Middy on October 12, 2012
Axtone has done it again with yet another dynamite release. Tommy Trash fresh off of his Beatport number one, “Reload” with Sebastian Ingrosso that Nervo proclaimed “Everything sounds small against it”, is back and switching Mafia member labels with his new release, The Aston Shuffle Vs. Tommy Trash – Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost). Combining the number one single in Australia from The Aston Shuffle with Tommy Trash’s signature grungy bass lines and eclectic pitched melodies, this track will leave a lasting impression on the end of 2012 and into 2013. The song also says it is the “Tommy Trash Version”, which could be a harmless label or it could mean there is another version of this to come.
