Progressive House | Gentle Bones – Until We Die (Manfred & Atran Remix)
Posted by Mel on June 1, 2014
Tyra Banks blows me away with her undeniable smarts but for some reason, when I first heard this song, I did not feel the same way. To be fair, my first listen was heard through laptop speakers so I jerked my way over to my room, grabbed my headphones and proceeded to get into the zone. I rubbed the tip for a second, gave it a kiss, plugged the headphone jack in and pressed play. I actually enjoyed the song very much on that listen and each time I listened to afterwards I would like it more and more. The producers behind this remix are Manfred, a gentleman from Singapore with only 34 followers on Soundcloud and Atran, a producer with 170 followers on Soundcloud and yet, an odd 70k likes on Facebook. Pretty freaky stuff to be sure but the song is good so look past it and enjoy. Also, if you don’t enjoy it, keep it to yourself. There’s no room for criticism here at FNT.

Hip-Hop | Sammy Adams – You & Me
Posted by BIGLIFE on May 6, 2014

“Dues yeah I’m paid up / dudes need to wake up.”
Returning to what made him great, Sammy goes in over Disclosure’s mega “You & Me” smash that’s reminiscent of his earliest work. Rapping, “Wizzy back, had a chance I’m yelling give me that, I can feel the summer approaching while you still skinny fat” Sammy floats effortlessly over the track with hungry bars and lyrical wit. Some might stipulate that Sammy Adams is officially back. I’d argue he never left. Sammy Adams. You & Me. Fire flames. Hat tip to the incomparable Val Pensa at RCA.
Trap | Flaxo – “Erode” (Original Mix)

Premiered just days ago on Vibe, Flaxo releases an ominous original mix titled “Erode” that can only be best described as organized chaos. Hat tip to Zac Bluestone for sending this my way.
Dubstep, Trance | Röyksopp – Running To The Sea Ft. Susanne Sundfør (Seven Lions Remix)
Posted by J-Tiffy on December 2, 2013

It has taken a long time for me to gather enough nerve to write this review, because this piece of music intimidates me so much. I don’t know how to accurately convey the way that this song made me feel when I heard it for the first time. I was on a crowded city bus, but felt completely alone. I didn’t feel lonely, rather, I felt as if I had been transported away by the music, and was in a different place than the people around me. I moved to the music without regard for the perceptions or judgments of strangers in my vicinity, and it felt surreal.
Progressive House | Passion Pit, Woodkid – Run Boy Run Away (Stereoshock Official Edit)

“Just wait here, I’ll be back soon and this time, I will the bring lotion”. That’s what she said to me. I waited anxiously in my bed for her return. I had just made the switch from an Abercrombie winter jacket to a rather thin Lacoste hoodie so my confidence was at an all time high. Instead of just staring at cute girls from afar I would now stand about 10 feet back and to the left and pretend to talk to someone on the phone whilst staring at them. Things were going quite well for me you could say. After about an hour she came back with the lotion and put it on my bedside drawer. I said thanks and she left the room. My sister had used the last bit of my Cocoa Radiant, Vaseline lotion that I use exclusively on my dry hands (though I have tried it on other stuff but I just don’t like using it). I was chillen in Forever 21 by myself when I accidentally slipped and fell on some, what I can only assume was diluted yogurt and scraped my hands pretty badly so without that lotion I couldn’t even make the tip of my index finger touch the tip of my thumb and as all guys know, it’s all over at that point.
That’s what I was doing during the week of July 28th, which was the date of Stereoshock’s last edit. I think you guys can now understand why it lacked a post. The next course of action he took after our interview was releasing a new edit, this time combining Woodkid’s “Run Boy Run” with Tiesto’s remix of “Carried Away”. As with all his edits, he makes the two tracks blend together perfectly. I have also included the edit that I missed, which may be one of my favorite edits of his. Both can be downloaded for free on his Facebook.
Progressive House | Bee Gees – Tragedy (Forever Kid Remix)

I don’t take submissions anymore. When I receive them, I usually trash them. This new Forever Kid remix caught my attention, and rightfully so. While little is known about Forever Kid, what I do know is that they’re a Swedish production duo that are taking the blogosphere by storm with their infectious nu-disco tunes. Their take on the Bee Gee’s “Tragedy” is no exception, showcasing a nostalgic summertime sensibility that is worming its way into the mainstream. Feel the groove. Cool? Cool. Hat tip to Aaron Harper.

Progressive House | Don Diablo & Matt Nash – Starlight (Could You Be Mine)

With “Reverie” still making waves worldwide, Axwell wastes no time and releases another track from his riches of unreleased songs, keeping the always impressive label on the tip of everyone’s tongues this summer festival season. This track from Dutchman Don Diablo & Scotsman Matt Nash is a tough, yet tasteful cut that uses gritty bass electro stabs, a sturdy bass line, distorted vocals and easy builds to provide a relief from the festival drops seen around the circuit these days. Look for an Otto Knows remix “rumored” to be coming later this summer.
