House | Sam Feldt Channels Some Serious Summer Vibes On His Edit of On June’s “The Devil’s Tears”
Posted by Tay on November 2, 2015
Any day with new Sam Feldt music is a good day, and we’ve got a gem from the Spinnin’ Deep all-star today. Hot off the heels of his stand-out original, “Drive You Home,” with The Knocks, the 22-year-old Dutch wunderkind has unveiled a special edit of On June’s cover of “The Devil’s Tears” to celebrate the dawn of the fall season. Opening the track with uplifting, arpeggiated guitar riffs before breaking down with subtle bongos and shakers, Feldt’s edit of “The Devil’s Tears” has some serious vibes.
Electro-House, House | Mat Zo – The Up Down Left Right EP
Posted by Middy on August 17, 2014
Not too much time left on this, but the master, Mat Zo has released his debut release on his new imprint Mad Zoo under Anjunabeats. He releases his previously released collab with The Knocks, “Get Down 2 Get Up”, alongside a totally new tune that shows the versatility in the Mat Zo production arsenal. “Get Down 2 Get Up” is much funkier than what we have seen and “Left To Right” heavier, so it will be interesting to see if he continues to experiment in the coming months or try and go with this trend, with some drum n bass mixed in.
We will see the direction of the label going forward, whether or not he goes with strictly his own releases, or also finding tracks from new producers and releasing them on Mad Zoo. He will release the songs for free first and then go with a traditional label for release. As we wait for what the future brings, grab the two track EP below for free.

Folks, this is a BIG tune! Dave Edwards had sent me a preview of his electro-pop remix of The Knocks featuring Sneaky Sound System of their track “The One” and just a few seconds into it I knew it’d be dope! With the vocals, and that playful bounce that Mr Edwards always incorporates into his remix, you’re bound to feel great at the first listen. There’s something about progressive house music that keeps me motivated and inspired to kick ass, so Dave, The Knocks, Sneaky Sound System, thank you for providing today’s gospel. This is a must listen and a must download!

This is Intermodal, a new group from the birthplace of house music, Chicago, IL. They’ve just hit the scene with their first release, a remix of “My Body” by Treasure Fingers and The Knocks. Intermodal took the original upbeat party version into a darker, heavier, booty tech remix with a little UK garage shuffle and a bassline that just wont quit. Available now for free download, you can go one deeper with a track that house music fanatics will not want to miss. This is a must listen and a must download!

House | AObeats & Manila Killa – Perfect Strangers (Kastra Remix)
Posted by Middy on December 9, 2013
The original samples the vocals from The Knocks breakout single, “The Feeling” and now those vocals go through another remix treatment. Kastra keeps the indie-dance flavor of the original, but adds an upbeat twist to it with a bed of driving chords over the cheery melody from AObeats & Manila Killa. The remix is a freebee by just giving him a like on Facebook, so grab it below. Check out the preview for his acid-fueled remix of Novaspace feat. Marie L “Give It Up” coming December 16th.

Chill, House | Asaf Avidan – One Day (The Knocks Remix)
Posted by Middy on August 8, 2013
The Knocks made my favorite track this year, “Modern Hearts“, so I am super excited to see anything new from them. The original has been beaten to death, that is no secret. However if there is someone who can revive it from the grave, The Knocks would be among the top candidates for song-zombificaiton (in a good way). Instead of attempting to inject their upbeat, disco style into the track, they stuck with the chilled out sound of the original, adding subtle pianos and synths to support the vocal. It’s free, so grab it.

Electro, Electronic | The Knocks (ft. St Lucia) – Modern Hearts [Dave Edwards Remix]
Posted by admin on June 12, 2013
Although this song unfortunately missed the deadline for our epic summer playlist, it is absolutely deserving of some recognition! Known for his epic remixes, Dave Edwards takes to The Knocks and St. Lucia’s most recent single in a successful attempt to keep up his reputation.
Dave experimented with numerous different chord progressions and sounds in this track and managed to avoid any sort of monotony in the production. Add vocals in to the mix and you’ve really got yourself a hit. The remix has already gotten some pretty significant recognition and so if you enjoy it enough, be sure to heart it up on Hype Machine!
Grab the free download and stay in tune for more Dave Edwards music, hopefully, very soon!
