Hip-Hop, Videos | Joey Bada$$ – Fromdatomb$ [Ft. Chuck Strangers] (Official Video)
Posted by dshaq on October 31, 2012
Joey Bada$$ releases some brand new visuals to this laid back track off 1999. As always, Joey’s flow is on point with a quality verse from Chuck Strangers, who also produced a couple of the songs on the tape, this one included. If you have yet to download 1999, I feel bad because you are missing out. Download the tape below and look out for some new Bada$$ in the future, we’re gonna be hearing a lot of him.
Hip-Hop | Chance The Rapper – I Aint Word

Brand new Chance the Rapper track. This one isn’t supposed to be on Chance’s upcoming tape, but we’ll take it. Look back for Acid Raps.
Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Big Sean – Detroit (Mixtape)
Posted by dshaq on September 5, 2012
GOD, OH GOD. Words can’t describe how excited I am for the month of September. We get this gem AND the GOOD Music album on September 18th, which mark my words will be the best day of the year. The tape is 17 songs deep with some serious features for the tape ranging from Jeezy to Common to Tyga to even Snoop Lion, and also shouts to Young Chop producing one of the beats. I wasn’t to pleased with Big Sean’s album, but after all his GOOD music verses and well…this mixtape, Sean Don looks to be back up top.
Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Domo Genesis & The Alchemist – No Idols (MIXTAPE)
Posted by dshaq on August 9, 2012
Although this is a little late, what we have here is one of the best produced mixtapes of all year. No if, ands, or buts. Straight up, what The Alchemist did to this project is magical. Domo Genesis, garnering some really good features, came out of his shell and really showed his true potential on this tape. After this, I think Domo has a real shot at a decent solo career, just as long as the production is this quality. I’m interested to see what people think of this tape and if they think it’s as good as I do. Any and all comments/opinions drop them in the comment box below.
Chill, Exclusive, Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Jetpack Jones – Afterburners 2: No Limits (FNT Exclusive Mixtape)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 30, 2012
Say what you want about this man’s music, but you can’t knock his hustle. Jetpack Jones is easily the hardest working MC I have ever had the pleasure of posting here on the great interwebs. He is constantly releasing FREE music for his fans and it is consistently at a high level. Afterburner’s 2 is no different. Bringing a classic Jetpack flow to the entire tape, he shows off his versatility with some faster paced tracks. Jetpack only works with the best producers, and his sound is always crisp and refreshing. Make sure you like his facebook page below to show him some love for constantly stocking your iTunes without having to pay $1.29.
Albums | KAM Royal — Still Waters [Mixtape] + One Time [Music Video]

Way too many people have been sleeping on this tape. I’ve always paid attention to KAM’s moves, but only after posting the Time Out Club posse cut “Cosmic Consciousness” (on which he has the first verse) did I decide to take a deeper look. His most recent tape—a collaboration with Kid Vision (the beat virtuoso behind “Cosmic Consciousness”)—features what is by far the most mature sound we’ve heard from KAM, yet with all his idiosyncrasies and characteristic humor intact. This project flows extraordinarily well for a mixtape— which is largely a nod to Kid Vision—who provides one of the most impressive album-length backdrops that you’ll ever hear on a free mixtape. And there’s KAM’s wit, sharpness, and personality, which permeates every track. Still Waters is a tribute to the movement of artists trying to bring underground hip-hop back towards substance and quality, steering clear of the pop-oriented punchline rap that is quickly saturating the blogosphere.
As a bonus, KAM dropped off the tape’s first video, to one of my favorite tracks “One Time.” Enjoy this laid-back, playful visual and be sure to cop the tape—I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
