David Guetta gets another All-Star cast to remix another single from his recent artist album “Nothing But The Beat”, with Michael Calfan, Laidback Luke joining him on a remix, Sebastian Drums and Sidney Samson. The David Guetta & Laidback Luke remix is very heavy with an electro breakdown that is not usually seen from both of them but many of you will like this change of pace from both of these guys. The Sidney Samson remix impressed me because I have not liked anything he has put out lately and in this remix he toned back the bleep and made it more dutch-house, keeping the dutch roots in it and which made for very good remix.
Sebastian Drums is the sleeper remix here that uses piano and soft synths in the build and in the breakdown with driving synth and bass and piano melody underneath. The Michael Calfan remix may be my favorite of the bunch, though the Sebastian Drums remix is a near dead even second. Coming off of his Beatport number one hit “Resurrection” that has been championed by Axwell and Swedish House Mafia, the Frenchman is going to be a big name in 2012. With a smooth synth break that builds with a strong bassline and piano melody, this remix is a standout on this package. For those of you who didn’t catch a glimpse of the epic Tommy Trash remix of Antidote, here it is. My favorite part of this remix has to be the fact it is as heavy as the original versions of Antidote, you know, before they threw in the Will.I.Am esque vocals. For you Knife Party and SHM fiends I threw in a download of the preview, considering how sick this remix is anyways.

Last night was history, and millions of people around the world with 20,000 in attendance were able to witness Swedish House Mafia becoming the first electronic act to ever headline the historic Madison Square Garden and brought that place to another universe. There are simply no words to describe what happened at Madison Square Garden last night it was that good. Their stage presence was off the charts, the visuals and effects were unreal with fireworks (whaaaaat inside MSG!?!?!) and the song choice and mixing was outrageous. It was the true live experience with all 20,000 people in the crowd belting out the lyrics and melodies to all the songs with Tinie Tempah AND John Martin showing up to do vocals for “Miami to Ibiza” and “Save the World”. The only thing missing was Pharrel doing the vocal version of “One” and the roof may have come down. They played a bunch of upcoming stuff on Size and Axtone and possibly a new song of theirs at the very beginning that was incredible. Listening to this set does not do the night justice, only being there would be true justice to what happened last night, but enjoy this set because it was f*cking incredible. I included the video at the show for what is being called “ID2” because it is so good and w8 already posted the now confirmed collaboration between Nicky Romero & Avicii, which is the first song in the set. Here is the 3 hour set from Avicii from the previous weekend at the DC Armory with a crowd of 10,000, put on by Glow DC. I have seen Avicii 3 times this year, looking forward to a fourth, and I would say this is an outstanding Avicii set by all measures. He plays a whole host of upcoming tracks by himself and others, as well as brand new releases from Alesso, Michael Calfan and many classics he has been playing for months. After listening to live and radio rips for the last couple months, we finally have the full version of the vocal mix of Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party’s “Antidote”. If you are wondering how this could have leaked, remember that the vocal mix of “One” leaked early before Pharrell had the opportunity to hear the final version. They had us fooled with “Save The World” having everyone thinking they had the final version, but they were all wrong. So here we are with “Antidote” and everything in this song points to the fact that this is the final version. SHM has said it is finished, they have sent out cds to other DJs and labels and this just seems finished. Here are the vocal mix and instrumental mixes that everyone has wanted 2 months ahead of its scheduled January 15th release date. It will be interesting to see how this affects this song and its release. Props to T.

The studio quality version of CAZZETTE’s Save The World remix has finally dropped. Released by Swedish House Mafia to celebrate coming up on 2 million facebook fans! You would think at 2 million they would release something of their own, but I wont complain. Feels like I have been waiting forever for the true 320kbps of this track. Great remix, CAZZETTE has some incredible unreleased tracks that are hopefully on our way soon.

Up and comers AN21 & Max Vangeli unleashed their essential mix last night on BBC Radio one with 5 tracks from their up coming album such as “People of the Night”, (the video above) the collaboration with Tiesto, among other recent hits such as upcoming releases of the Swedish House Mafia remix of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”, Alesso’s “Raise Your Head” and the anthemic remix of Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Otherside” by Third Party. AN21 & Max Vangeli take us on a 2 hour journey of bootlegs and new singles that will leave you breathless. Their album “People of the Night” comes out sometime this winter so make sure to be on the look out for it, I know I will.
