Swedish artist Sapele may be the new to some, but don’t call him a noob, having written and produced for many artists, he’s now decided to launch his solo career with the release of his EP “The Day,” and judging from his debut single “Looking At You,” expect nothing less but deep bass driven afro-soul influenced productions layered with downtempo RnB vocals, when the lights go down on the dancefloor. Get your sexy on and press play, you might find yourself more flirtatious than usual, go get’em! This is a must listen!

Progressive House | Hellberg – Saviors

Monstercat has always excelled at catching the little guy before they blow. Just a few like Project 46, Vicetone & Pegboard Nerds come to mind of the top of my head. Swedish producer Hellberg has slowly built his career over the past few years with some very solid remixes and originals, some of those on Monstercat and it seems like it is all finally coming together now. “Saviors” is his latest big, melodic original effort that you should cop right away since it is a free download.

Chill, House | U.S. Royalty – Into the Thicket (Dino Remix)
Posted by mimada on June 2, 2014
I’m really excited to share this song with you for a multitude of reasons, one being that it beautifully redefines what typically comes to mind when you hear the words “Swedish” and “house.” This track from Stockholm-based producer, DINO, is a delightful, summery indie house remix to U.S. Royalty’s “Into The Thicket,” perfectly integrating that American folk feel with an electric beat. Categorize this under “Songs to Listen to While Driving at Sunset With the Windows Down” and you won’t regret it.
Chill, Electronic | Last Lynx – Curtains (Dinnerdate Remix)
Posted by mimada on May 29, 2014
German producer DINNERDATE is on a roll lately. We’ve seen quite a number of delightful and diverse releases from him the past couple weeks, including his most recent with Fabich & Ferdinand Weber, “Souls Together.” This time around, he brings us a remix of the Swedish “60’s organic pop” group, Last Lynx. Dinnerdate put his signature touch on it, with those calm electronic house vibes that just carry you away into the sunset. Simply perfect.
House, Interviews | Lars Allertz: Sweden’s Next Big Thing
Posted by mimada on February 12, 2014
2013 has been the breakthrough year for Sweden’s new DJ/producer talent Lars Allertz. His hit track, “Make You Mine” has scored in the Top 10 of the Swedish iTunes chart, been aired on Swedish national radio, and played during his first arena gig at the Swedish electronic music festival, November Lights. As things are looking bright for the 21-year-old, our guest blogger Rebecca made a trip to Stockholm to talk to him about his progressing career.
It’s classic Swedish winter weather and the traffic is slow, just as it is every year. I never learn that the road workers seem to always forget how to handle the snow. My bus is late, and I’m late to my meeting with Lars Allertz. Shit.
After a ”refreshing” sprint in my not-so-sprint-friendly combat boots from the bus station to Uppsala’s central train station, I throw myself on the train to Stockholm. I arrive fifty minutes later, stressed out and therefore very nervous. But Lars Allertz greets me with the kindest approach, and I realize that his down to earth personality is forgiving, even for my stupid mistake to clean up the apartment after last night’s raging after-party instead of choosing the early bus.
Allertz suggests we take a short walk to his studio located in the prettiest and nicest area in Stockholm – Östermalm. It’s the kind of area where I, in my dreams, imagine myself buying the perfect turn of the century apartment when I, in the future, am ridiculously successful and perfect (fingers crossed).
During the walk we get into a relaxed conversation. Allertz tells me about the studio, how it’s in the same building as the DJ duo Nause, and that he in facts spends most of his time here “where the magic happens.”
Progressive House | Axel Bless & Swanson Vs. Urban Cone – Kings & Queens (True Love Mix)
Posted by Mel on December 24, 2013
Swanson has had many previous appearances on FNT but this time he is joined by Axel Bless, a 20 year old producer from the UK. These two have put their own progressive house spin on the swedish pop band Urban Cone’s “Kings & Queens” and they did it well.

WOW, just WOW! And another great track that forces to me to remove one from my top 10 list of 2013 to include this one. Swedish artist Seinabo Sey’s “Younger” is a masterpiece, from the songwriting, to the production, this track has it all. For her second track made public, I can only imagine what is to come. You’re going to want to do yourself a favor and stream this record, Seinabo in my opinion is in the ranks of Adele and Emeli Sande, and I stand behind my words. This is a must listen!
