Progressive House | Eddie Thoneick & Norman Doray – Celsius
Posted by Middy on July 23, 2012
Steve Angello’s imprint, Size Records is a label that does not have many releases, but when it does you have to pay attention because they are always of the utmost quality. Norman Doray & Eddie Thoneick’s release “Celsius” is no different in an already heavily supported track sure to make some late season festival damage. A subtly complex synth chord progression dominates the track in its melodic form with a heavy driving bass line and well developed layers.

Progressive House | AN21 & Max Vangeli & Tiesto – People of the Night
Posted by Spice on July 2, 2012
Steve Angello’s Size Matters imprint continues to crush the game with this latest release from AN21 (the younger Angello brother, incidentally — check out that family resemblance) & Max Vangeli. The duo’s smooth, hot weather-ready collaboration with Tiesto will be the title track on their upcoming album, which is set to drop on August 6. I’m loving the vocals and the unique flavor that the acoustic guitar sample provides — and, of course, those tight and supremely polished synths after the drop.

Progressive House | AN21 & Max Vangeli vs. Steve Angello – H8RS
Posted by Sev on May 28, 2012
Three outstanding House producers known for their technique and dexterity featured all on one track? Count me in. An21, Max Vangeli, and Steve Angello have produced their rendering of this summers anthem known as, H8RS. Through the introduction we are lured in to believe a “Calling (Lose My Mind)” style track is in the making, but as soon as we reach the drop it becomes evident this is a “Greyhound” style track. All three producers mastered a bass thumping track, that is sure to get any crowd dancing their night away. You can bet this track is going to be played at every festival this summer, so grab this track on Beatport HERE.
DJ-Set, Progressive House, Videos | Gossip – Perfect World (dBerrie Remix)
Posted by Middy on May 17, 2012
The New York sensation dBerrie just dropped this freebee on his soundcloud and it is definitely worth your while. A smooth female vocal with distorted vocal chops added, a steady bass line, a fluid piano melody and rising synth carry the lead while the break consists thumping bass, driving synth chords, vocal bits and a rising synth to carry you to the end. This is a progressive house track that you will want to get to liven up your Thursday night activities.
Also included above is the popular video for Tiesto & Wolfgang Gartner – We Own The Night ft. Luciana. It is an ode to all the Djs out there partying with their fans from sunset to to sun up. With cameos from Steve Angello, Avicii, Zedd, Afrojack, Porter Robinson and many, many more, the video is a true tribute to the “Dark Days, Bright Nights” philosophy we have here at FNT. Now go out and live it. After the jump is dBerrie’s set from Cosmic Opera.
Progressive House | Wynter Gordon – Still Getting Younger (Remixes)
Posted by GMONEY on May 14, 2012
Wynter Gordon has been on fire recently, absolutely smashing the lyrics to Tommy Trash and Steve Aoki’s “Ladi Dadi” and Laidback Luke’s recent hit “Speak Up”. This release, Still Getting Younger, features some great remixes from Steve Angello sponsored Third Party, eSquire (who has been wrecking the Progressive House scene), and Belocca. The Third Party remix brings out their unique sound (massive building synth work and perfect festival music). My personal favorite is the eSquire remix, who utilizes the perfect mix of melodies to create that house beat which gives you goosebumps. The Belocca remix is a great house take on the original. Grab the full release on BEATPORT. The Beatport version also features Dub remixes from Third Party and Belocca.
DJ-Set, House | Swedish House Mafia Essential Selection 2/17/12
Posted by Middy on February 18, 2012
Swedish House Mafia took over Pete Tong’s legendary Essential Selection show for the second time last night, revealing some information about upcoming songs and played tracks from a whole variety of genres from progressive to tech to electro to indie. They talk a fair amount about Los Angeles, where Steve Angello has been living and working for the past 4 years and what makes it so special. Deadmau5 came on the show to do a guest mix, talk about what is in store for 2012. They played a fair amount of unreleased tracks, including Alesso’s new single “Years” (above), Nari & Milani’s “Atom”, the vocal version of Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso’s anthemic track “Calling” now called “Losing My Mind” (below) and Steve Angello’s finished copy of his signature track “Yeah“, which is quite different from what he has been playing out for the better part of a year. They also revealed the name of the new Swedish House Mafia single premiered at Madison Square Garden, “Greyhound“, which is slightly different from the version played there, but it is still an amazing song. Tracklist for the show after the jump.

Progressive House | Addict Djs
Posted by Middy on February 14, 2012
Addict Djs are back with two more remixes utilizing a more catchy uplifting progressive house style. The first remix has been supported by Steve Angello and uses strong piano and synth leads to create a euphoric melody with a smooth and easy build. The remix of Justice & Simian’s classic track “Never Be Alone” is absolutely fantastic combining a high energy piano lead, excellent use of those recognizable vocals and a driving bass line to create this melodic progressive house track.
