Thought we had forgotten about him didn’t you? Welllllllllll we didn’t. Coucheron has produced some talented music in the past (with my favorite being his remix of Usher’s ‘Climax’), but this remix has to be one of his newest masterpieces. Though we may be late to the draw, here at FNT we never neglect good music, and thus this baby deserved a post.

21 one year old Stoke native, Special Features has been kind enough to release one of his original productions for free to his fans. He uses his special recipe of synths to create a complex, flowing melody that reminds me in a way of a guitar ballad from someone like Joe Satriani or Yngwie Malmsteen. He then adds a steady and purposeful bass line to keep the track moving. A small vocal bit adds texture, while highlighting the intricate melody woven together by the young British progressive house DJ. He has a single with Kate Elseworth, noted for her work on “Alive” & “Eyes Wide Open” coming soon, so be ready for that one.

Michael Brun and Special Features releasing their collaboration progressive house masterpiece Synergy today. This track has all the right ingredients to be a summer festival banger. The track starts off with some nice synth build ups into a thumping kick drum accompanied by a catchy melody. Slowly then building into a tasteful electro-house style drop that is meant to send crowds erupting. Don’t miss this great track and grab it off Beatport HERE.

Eden Anderson aka Special Features has returned to the spotlight once again with yet another harmonious and aesthetically ear-pleasing track. This time, his work is a (better?) edit of Axwell’s edit of the popular Anthem “In My Mind” from Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl. Eden first premiered this mix live at his first ever North American show at Pitzer College in Los Angeles last weekend, and from what we hear it was the star of the show (besides the man himself). Look out for more posts on Special Features in the coming months, because he’s got some huge releases down the pipe…

A 21st birthday and a debut release on the illustrious dance music mecca website that is Beatport? I would say that today was not a shabby day for young phenom Special Features. Not only is he now legally allowed to imbibe spirits of any flavor here in the States (preferably during a sold out show for a packed house in any of the number of wonderful clubs we have here in the US), but he is also able to brag to the ladies about how he is now an official professional musician (or does saying DJ get you more love?) Either way, Eden is killing it and this Dada Life remix is just one more example of how far he’s come. Well done man and happy birthday. Can’t wait for 2012. One more thing, get on Facebook and like his ass pronto!
