Cherub drops off some brand new music in the form of their Antipasto EP. Although the EP reuses their hit single Doses & Mimosas, it offers a brand new and very interesting remix of it by the knocks, and two brand new songs. Lifesaver offers a very upbeat groovy track while Tonight goes for more of a sensual sound. Always great to hear some new sounds from Cherub. Yesterday the EDM world wonder child Martin Garrix released his “Wizard” top 10 list on Beatport, and the Reece Low remix of Australian duo Bombs Away made it onto the list, and if you take a listen, you’ll understand why, the track goes hard! If you’re a DJ, I strongly suggest you include this tune in your mix, that Melbourne bounce sound is gaining popularity, and the Australians are absolutely killing it! The Chainsmokers continue with their rapid pace of releases with a remix to The Colourist’s “Fix This”. It has a similar same vibe as many of their previous indie-house tracks but instead of the light, cheery sound that is usually a custom to them, it has a bit of a darker tone. It is an official remix but the label told them they didn’t want the song available for sale or free download so as of right now, it is streaming only.

Wow, isn’t this album art awesome? Anyway, “Nocturn” by Harrison Blakoldman out on Cosmonostro is a trapped out beauty. “Nocturn” stands out from a lot of the trap coming out right now. The sounds of a xylophone ring over low bassy beats. Its a lullaby with a modern twist. My favorite part is after a minute in when the sound is fuller, but it’s all really unique and interesting to listen to. Grab it for free!

Just a minute late on this but NVOY’s style is so fresh, I’m not even phased. Last week the Nottingham duo dropped “Perspire,” which, compared to the tracks I’ve shared with you before, takes things to a level one deeper. Their touch on old school house vibes give it something that makes it sound brand new all over again. Give yourself some room to dance for this one.

Polish producer, Bastian Salbart is still quite a fresh face to the industry, but having been snatched up by the reputable trance record label, High Contrast Recordings, you can expect that all to change sooner, rather than later. “Run!”, much like his other productions, treads the line between trance and electro, integrating the best of both worlds, with interesting melodies and hard electro elements. This type of genre-melding dance music is great to see when some artists sometimes get pigeonholed into one category or sound.
