Electronic | Dirty South – With You + Tunnel Vision

With his album coming out on November 4th, Dirty South has previewed two more tunes from the album, in addition to “Unbreakable” last month. There aren’t any drops on these tracks, especially “With You” that has more of an orchestral sound to it, with a slow, progressing arrangement as soft male vocals compliment the strings and steady chords. “Tunnel Vision” is much darker than what we have heard from Dirty South in many years with brooding, rolling synth chords and the haunting vocals of SomeKindaWonderful.
Both tunes feature bands on the ATM band roster, which Dirty South is a part of with his duo Ruben Haze, so it is no surprise to see them on these tracks and also nice to see him turn to bands for features. Monstercat has been great at supporting up and coming acts right when they are getting noticed. For that reason I have found some releases to sound a little unpolished, but you have to take a step back and look at the overall talent of these kids. One release that sounds polished and arising from UK producer, Draper. The opening track “Coloured Glass” was previewed last week and has taken off across the internet, but now we are able to hear the rest of the EP. My two favorites are the bookending tunes that have totally different tones, with the energetic melodies in “Coloured Glass” and the soothing pads of “With You”. Progressive House | Sam Smith – Stay With Me (Moiez Remix)

This tune has been hit with an exorbitant amount of remixes, but I urge you to listen to one more. Moiez back to the old style he did on “Flight” for a more progressive trance sound that would possibly jive with Anjunabeats, adding some big, cascading synth chords to the tune. This is free, so there is no downside to getting this one.

Progressive House | Hardwell & W&W – The Dance Floor Is Yours

A few months ago, during an interview at A State of Trance 650 in Utrecht, Hardwell offered the following response to Armin Van Buuren in regards to what his album might sound like:
“I’m experimenting with a lot of new, different sounds. I’m a bit sick of the same formula that’s going on in EDM right now so I’m just trying to change boundaries and look at what’s going on in the rest of the world. Even in the hip hop scene and the trance scene and try to combine as much as possible.” [VIDEO]

Dubstep | Illenium – So Wrong

I haven’t posted any dubstep in a while so I figured I better write this track up. “So Wrong” by Illenium is melodic dubstep done right. Chill and bass filled, this original is a great addition to your chill playlist. The melody will stay in your head long after you click play. Progressive House | Lush & Simon Feat. Delaney Jane – In My Hands

It was only a matter of time before these guys got big. With releases now on Revealed, Protocol, Armada, and now Doorn, the Italian duo continue to show signs of growth and improvement with each passing release. “Hunter” saw them integrate some more percussion based builds, while still returning to their strong suit in melodies. The duo have overcome a change in personnel with Simon being exchanged for another Simon and they have not skipped a beat, giving us the vintage driving melodic sound we know from Lush & Simon here with “In My Hands”.
