Ace Cosgrove hails from the DMV, and is no newcomer to Fresh New Tracks. His soulful twist on rap saw him relative success leading up to the release of this tape. And now that UsvsRobots is finally available to the world, it’s only a matter of time before things really propel to the next level.

Exclusive, House | Premiere: Fish From Japan – Carry On
Posted by Middy on September 1, 2014
It may be a holiday, but that does not mean vacation from music and premieres. We have another from Fish From Japan, who have tabbed Danielle Rowe to add some sumptuous, soulful vocals to their deep instrumental of floating synths and a marching bass line. The tune already has support from Mistajam on BBC, Mark Farina, Riva Starr and others undoubtedly to come. Grab the tune on Beatport with a very smooth and deep Dubb Disko remix.

British drum n bass production duo Sigma, who made headlines with their”Nobody To Love” single, is back with a jam “Changing” featuring vocals by the talented Paloma Faith, and it’s without a doubt going to be a huge Summer hit. Paloma’s soulful jazzy gospel vocals blend perfectly with Sigma’s drum n bass production, reminiscent if Adele decided to go drum n’ bass, and I wouldn’t be mad at her. The energy on this track is raw, and refreshing, I’m 100% sold! This is a must listen!
Chill, Hip-Hop | Chet Faker x GoldLink – On You
Posted by mimada on July 15, 2014
GoldLink is currently one of those artists that I just cannot get enough of – and fortunately for me he just keeps releasing one gem after another. The unlikely yet surprisingly compatible pairing of the rising hip hop star and ubiquitous Australian vocalist Chet Faker definitely delivers, with a beautiful, catchy chorus courtesy of Faker and some honest rhymes by GoldLink, wrapped up with some soulful keyboarding, perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings having breakfast in bed (“breakfast”) with your main squeeze.
Be sure to check out the making of “On You,” part of the series Songs From Scratch brought to you by adidias and Yours Truly below.

Chill | Gabrielle Aplin – Mountains (Samuel Remix)

Fell on this super chill remix by Samuel by accident of Gabrielle Aplin’s “Mountains” and I’m not mad at all that I did. Blending deep house vibes with Gabrielle’s soulful vocals, Samuel couldn’t do any wrong. With a style similar to Kygo or Thomas Jack, it’s clear that there’s a formula working, but shit, if it makes the people happy and sheds light on talented vocalists, why not? To all the haters, I’m sorry, for those who love this, I understand. This is a must listen and a must download!
