Not sure where you are in the world, but the sun is bright and shining here in NYC, and what better way to compliment these glorious vibes with some straight sex by Slinger with his cover of Prince’s “No Money.” I’ve had the track on repeat all morning and man it feels good to be a gangster. Feel the soul, feel the funk, get into this one, I’m straight up out here dancing at my desk like nobody’s watching, and I have no clue who Slinger is. The man only has one 1 track up! This is a must listen and I can’t wait to hear more!

The Blancos from Brooklyn know how to make music, and that’s a fact, peep their record “Love’s Impossible,” some indie soul rock music to get you through this grey humid April afternoon. Obviously under the radar, my friend Scott hit me with 3 of their records, notably the one featured here, but make sure you check out “Lemon Garden,” and “Losing Sleep” both quality productions which explore the sample game, and capture that refreshing sound. I was also told that they have exciting news coming up, so keep an ear out for that. This is a must listen, and we’re still waiting on that download!

Progressive House | John Newman – Love Me Again (Shaun Frank Club Cover)
Posted by Middy on March 12, 2014
It might be a bit of a stretch to say we are seeing a second British invasion, but a new wave of British pop / soul singers is hitting the worldwide music scene with a vengeance, led by Sam Smith and John Newman and everyone is noticing. John Newman was first discovered by Rudimental and has burst onto the scene, notably with his single “Love Me Again”, which has seen countless remixes. In steps talented singer / producer Shaun Frank who creates a totally new and upbeat instrumental of his own designed for the clubs and covers the vocals in the same style as John Newman, but with Shaun’s own flavor. It is a freebee, so grab it below.

House | Bimbo Jones & Beverley Knight – I Found Out
Posted by VMan on March 12, 2014
With the release of “I Found Out” by UK producers Bimbo Jones & ‘Queen of Soul’ Beverley Knight, this track is proof that house music will never lose it’s soul, as the boys bring it back to the disco funk days. Full of sass and funk, this fun ditty will bring out the diva in you, and that goes to everyone, I personally am channeling my inner Aretha Franklin. Ladies, if your man is creeping, empower yourself with this record, and shake it off, it’s going to be alright! This is a must listen and a must download!
