This should quench your indie hip hop thirst for at least a few days. I’m pretty excited to drop this not only because the tracks are dope but also because “Dancernaut” happens to run one of my favorite blogs DancingAstronaut.com. Talk about putting me to shame, this guy can run a sick site andddd harness the power of his fans to jump off his career. I’m really digging the singular vibe these guys bring to their tracks. Fresh New Tracks is proud to announce that were not only back and fully reloaded as a site, but were also fully reloaded in apparel. For our spring line we added the new logo on all of the apparel, some new color combinations, and ordered 4 new color combos of the most comfortable softest American Apparel jackets/hoodies you will find. We’ll be officially going live with the apparel wednesday morning at 11 am (Pacific Standard Time) for pre-orders and will be mailing them out the following Wednesday…just in time for Spring Break.

When all is said and done this is what makes my endless battle with our inbox all worth it in the end; finding undiscovered talent with a singular vibe that makes me grin because its so dope. I’m addicted to putting new material in front of our fanbase so when I come across a group like the Smokey Robotic I really just kick back and basque in the download numbers as the skyrocket. These four guys encompass the essentials; part pop, part electro and part hip hop, making up a sound that they like to call “Superfuture”. I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks about them. Due to substantial traffic increases we are going to be doing some work on the site to improve loading time. We are aiming to have all of the changes done by Monday night, so there may be some weird issues going on with the site over the next few days. We figure that most of you would rather deal with a few small inconveniences, than a few days without filthy beats, so we are going to keep the site up and running while we make these changes.

It’s been a long, and I mean long road for Rock City. Their single, “Losing It” didn’t perform as expected over a year ago and were ultimately shelved by Akon. Akon said a few months back that he’d be releasing a new Rock City single sometime this year and I couldn’t contain my excitement. Here’s fun fact: Rock City was the first ever post on the site. We’re huge fans and this track produced by David Guetta absolutely kills.
